ECWA Pro Wrestling

In one of the most unusual tag team matches in ECWA’s 43 year old history, fresh off of the 15th Annual ECWA Super 8 Tournament, the world’s ONLY breakdancing, wrestling robot SHOCKWAVE the Robot will team with one of the Northeast’s newest rising female competitors, Jamilia Craft. – May 21st, 2011 will go down as one of the most noteworthy days in Ring of Honor history. Not only was the announcement made of the sale of the promotion to one of the largest television broadcasters in the country, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., but ROH also presented a fantastic wrestling event to the fans in Chicago. “Supercard of Honor VI”  Join the following now. Ring of Honor joining with the Sinclair Broadcast Group is a huge move by ROH and they will start shooting for the new TV show that debuts in Sept.  in August.  Chicago gets to be the place where ROH makes the first TV taping splash so be there when they return to Chicago.

The windup to “Supercard of Honor VI” was another unbelievably hard hitting bout that brought out the best in each competitor. After the end of the match, Eddie issued a challenge for Davey to face him for the ROH World Championship and the champion stated he would quit if Davey refused. Davey accepted the challenge and both men shook hands. It will be very interesting to see when ROH officials will decide to sign this epic contest.

– In a big surprise, for the first time since he was ran out of the building at “End of An Age” two years ago, Jimmy Jacobs made an appearance on Saturday night revealing himself as Steve Corino’s mystery sponsor. Corino explained that his sponsor has been there to offer support to him over the last few months and he said that the sponsor wanted a couple minutes of the time from the ROH locker room, as well as the fans, to come out and speak. Mike Bennett interrupted and said Corino was lying to everyone because he has no friends and he will never recover. Bennett said that nobody is in the locker room and Steve is a liar! However, at that moment, Jimmy Jacobs came through the crowd, hopped over the guardrail, and entered the ring to a great reaction. Bennett headed to the back as Jimmy took the microphone and said “My name is Jimmy Jacobs, and I’m an evil person.” Jacobs continued explaining that he was run off from ROH a few years ago for his constant abuse and reprehensible conduct. Jimmy gave details on Corino coming to him as an experienced fellow evil person to help him understand and follow the next steps on the road to recovery because he was lost. As a new man and a man who follows the helper therapy principle Jimmy realized that they will both benefit from this relationship and the helping behaviors correlate with increased abstinence and lower probabilities of falling off the wagon. Jimmy is ready for his final step which is taking all the steps and putting them into play in the place where the problem all started. Jimmy wants back in to ROH to prove that he is in the best shape of his life and he is a changed man looking for forgiveness from the fans and the wrestlers in the locker room. Jimmy wants to be allowed to stand in Corino’s corner from here on as a supporter for Steve and ROH. Bennett then returned to the ring with ROH officials and staff, and had them escort Jacobs out of the arena. It is unknown whether ROH officials will allow Jimmy back into Ring of Honor given his reputation and the fact he is disliked by many people in both the locker room and amongst the office staff. It is known that both Corino and Jacobs left the Frontier Fieldhouse last Saturday together and Corino was very dejected after his bout with Bennett but more so with the House of Truth.

– Unfortunately, Lancelot Bravado suffered a severe concussion on Saturday after being on the receiving end of a double head kick courtesy of Cole and O’Reilly.  Brother Harlem was quick to say that both Cole and O’Reilly are going to get theres.

– The All Night Express and the Briscoe Brothers took it to another level in the Chicago Street Fight last Saturday in arguably the most violent match we have seen in ROH all year. Jay was able to score a very lucky win over Titus making this one more time that the Briscoe’s squeaked out a victory over the ANX. The ANX have come off very strong against Mark & Jay and even though the Briscoes have a clear winning advantage over Titus and King it does not seem as if things are completely settled.
