Resistance Pro held their ‘Taken By Force’ event last night
Excalibur Nightclub
632 N. Dearborn Street
Chicago, IL

Pre-show matches:

1)CHRIS CASTRO defeated “Marvelous” MATT KNICKS.

2)THE SUBMISSION SQUAD defeated THE HATE JUNKIES (via submission, of course).

Main show:

RINALDO PIVEN made his way to the ring (with lawyer DR. PONZO) to discuss the beating he received from R-Pro Director of Wrestler Safety CHRIS NOWINSKI. NOWINKSI came to the ring and said that PIVEN ran in to his fist, and would be fined $100 the next time that occurred. PIVEN said that he was advised by his lawyer that a lawsuit is imminent stemming from the incident. The two traded barbs back and forth and PIVEN insulted people who have brain trauma which brought out JESSE CORGAN – Creative Director BILLY CORGAN’s brother. In order to avoid a lawsuit, PIVEN and NOWINSKI/CORGAN agreed to a match in which each party would choose a wrestler, and if PIVEN’s wrestler won NOWINSKI would no longer be Director of Wrestler Safety. If CORGAN’s choice for NOWINSKI won, PIVEN would be gone from R-Pro for 6 months.

MATCH 1: THUNDERKITTY defeated LUCY MENDEZ in a thrilling opening women’s bout. KITTY chants started as soon as she was announced and did not let up the entire match. MENDEZ was able to avoid the sleeper on several occasions, but in the end, fell victim to retro superstar’s signature maneuver. With great back-and-forth action from both ladies, this was the perfect match to start off the main show and get the crowd hot immediately.

MATCH 2: In a quarterfinal match in the RESISTANCE Pro Tag-Team Title Tournament, LOCK UP (Suge D and Aaron Epic w/ Warden Myers and “Da Boss”) defeated “M-Dogg” MATT CROSS and CHRIS HALL. After SUGE started the chant of “fresh meat” with the crowd directed to their newest opponents, both teams were off and running. All four men delivered in the ring and despite attempted assistance by WARDEN MYERS, LOCK UP gained the victory honorably. The crowd was clearly behind LOCK UP the whole match and this outing raised the already-high bar set in the tag team tourney.

NIKKI ST. JOHN came to the ring to address her actions last month at A SMALL DEADLY SPACE. She said that she was tired of being held down by Women’s Champion MELANIE CRUISE and called her out. CRUISE evaded her old assistant and sent out “The Matrix” TAYLOR MADE instead. While confronting ST. JOHN verbally, “The Matrix” thrust the microphone in to her ex-friend’s throat and proceeded to beat her down. While parading around the ring and gloating to the crowd about what she had just done, MADE was attacked by ST. JOHN viciously from the back with a Singapore cane showing a newer, more vicious side to the former assistant.

MATCH 3: JOCEPHUS defeated MR. 450 (with “manager” D’ARCY DIXON and ERIC ST. VAUGHN) and JOHN SKYLER in a fast-paced three-way-dance. 450 and SKYLER really brought it to their much larger adversary – practically turning the bout in to a handicap match. But in the end, the man with a thirst for “violence” overcame the odds to the delight of the Excalibur crowd. After the match, “The Ego” ROBERT ANTHONY came to the ring and called out “Lonesome” JAY BRADLEY. ANTHONY said that he is the only undefeated man on the roster and should be the number one contender to HARRY SMITH’s Heavyweight Title. Creative Director BILLY CORGAN agreed and made a new number one contender match between the two for that night.

LOU D’ANGELI came to the ring extolling the virtues of R-Pro Champ HARRY SMITH. He explained that SMITH would not be defending his championship this evening because he did not have to. Instead, he would be giving a true wrestling exhibition to showcase the skill he learned in the Hart family dungeon. SMITH joined his manager in the ring talking about his pedigree and offered anyone in the crowd the chance to join him and be his guinea pig. KYLE MATTHEWS came out of the crowd in a Bulldogs t-shirt and explained that he is Harry’s biggest fan and that it would be an honor to wrestle his idol. HARRY made quick work of the smaller MATTHEWS and made him tap out twice – refusing to release his submission hold the second time – until “The Last Dragon” ACH made the save and challenged SMITH to a match. D’ANGELI agreed for his charge – they would take his challenge in a non-title bout.

MATCH 4: HARRY SMITH narrowly defeated “The Last Dragon” ACH in a non-title bout. The crowd was squarely behind the high flying superstar ACH the entire match, but the strength and leverage of the R-Pro champion was just too much for him to overcome in the end. While SMITH may have initially underestimated the young superstar, there was little doubt that he reluctantly respected him by the end of the match.

MATCH 5: RINALDO PIVEN (and lawyer DR. PONZO) announced PIVEN’s newest charge ASHTON VUITTON as his selection against CHRIS NOWINSKI and JESSE CORGAN’s charge in their stipulation bout. JESSE CORGAN made his team’s selection as his favorite wrestler SERENITY much to the surprise of NOWINSKI. In R-Pro’s first one-on-one intergender bout, the arrogant and sexist VUITTON had his manhood tested by the “pink and purple haired warrior” SERENITY. With VUITTON down on the mat, SERENITY went to the top turnbuckle to attempt one of her infamous “phantom turnbuckle dives” when CORGAN asked for a high-five. SERENITY gave CORGAN what he wanted, and he caused her to botch her move and fall to the mat where VUITTON secured his victory. With CHRIS NOWINSKI no longer Director of Wrestler Safety in R-Pro, JESSE CORGAN told the crowd that he was tired of living in his famous brother’s shadow and was now going to be hanging out with his new friend RINALDO PIVEN. PIVEN and crew celebrated in the ring to the dismay and shock of NOWINSKI and Creative Director BILLY CORGAN.

MATCH 6: R-Pro Women’s Champion MELANIE CRUISE (w/ canine friend Bubbles) successfully defended her title against TNA Knockout ANGELINA LOVE. In what was CRUISE’s biggest title defense yet, R-Pro’s “alpha female” proved once again why she is the dominant female force in RESISTANCE Pro. Despite an amazing showing by the former “Beautiful People” leader, LOVE succumbed to CRUISE’s crafty ring knowledge…and using the ring ropes for an added advantage.

TEN BELL SALUTE for Sam Thompson. A heartfelt tribute for RESISTANCE Pro’s street team leader/timekeeper left no one in attendance without tears in their eyes. For more information about Sam Thompson and what he meant to R-Pro, please visit RESISTANCEpro.com

MATCH 7: In a number one contender’s bout, “Lonesome” JAY BRADLEY regained his spot from “The Ego” ROBERT ANTHONY in a five-star bout that went all throughout Excalibur. Back and forth in what may have been the most physical match in R-Pro history, the highlight may have been when BRADLEY threw ANTHONY in to the second story balcony rail right in front of Creative Director BILLY CORGAN and then got in CORGAN’s face screaming “Am I number one now ?!?”. The crowd was white hot for this match between two men with all the momentum behind them anyone could ask for. In the end, ANTHONY fell victim to the “Boomstick” lariat and BRADLEY reclaimed his right to challenge champion HARRY SMITH. After announced victorious, SMITH (w/ D’ANGELI) came to the ring and got in BRADLEY’s face. Never one to back down or be intimidated, BRADLEY punched SMITH and it was go-time. BRADLEY gained the upper hand in the “battle of the bulls” until KYLE MATTHEWS came out and attacked BRADLEY, giving SMITH and company the upper hand who eventually put out BRADLEY. After celebrating in the ring, SMITH then turned on MATTHEWS and viciously choked him out echoing the fact that no one is safe from the R-Pro Champ.
