Last month Premiere Wresting Xperience(PWX) found a new home at Neighborhood Theatre in the North Davidson area of Charlotte, NC  with a crowd lining the sidewalk over an hour before doors opened. That night was capped of with an impromptu challenge from Caleb Konley who defeated long reigning PWX Champion Rhett Titus to become the new champion. Also in July, a feud was ignited as “The Southern Savior” John Skyler attacked former WCW superstar & Flock member Lodi. Skyler along with Reid Flair said this was the time for a new generation of talent to rise. On the very same night ROH stars Roderick Strong and Ernie Osiris competed with the talented roster of PWX athletes and on August 18 PWX will do it again!  ‘There Goes The Neighborhood’ is a can’t miss event! With three huge title matches including the ROH title being defended outside of a Ring of Honor ring. Caleb Konley’s first PWX title defense and Generation Kill looking to continue their reign of domination on the revitalized tag team division. one of the hottest independent promotions around today. The following is a full preview from the next great event from Premiere Wrestling Xperience!!

Six Man Tag Team Action
Ernesto Osiris, Chiva Kid, & Adam Page vs Alex Bird, “Mr. Elite” Drew Myers & Colby Corino
Osiris showcases his in ring skills on a regular basis in PWX and proves that he is much more than just a flunky. On the 18th of August he will team with two of PWX’s most popular talents the high flying Chiva Kid and the athletic Adam Page. Their adversaries on this night will be a star on the rise in Mr. Elite Drew Myers coming off a big win last month against Adam Page. Joining Myers will be Alex Bird who made his debut for PWX last month, Bird will attempt to ground Chiva and do some flying of his own. The third member of the team is second generation talent Colby Corino, son of “Mr Old School” Steve Corino. This proves to be a high intensity, exciting matchup with each man looking to make a mark in PWX.

Grudge Match
Lodi vs “The Southern Savior” John Skyler
As noted above Skyler made an appearance at PWX’s last show. Skyler attacked Lodi with a ladder and left a lasting impression that the younger stars of PWX would not be overlooked. A long time veteran of this business, Lodi will not take this attack lying down and after defeating Reid Flair in July looks to prove their is plenty left in the “Sign Guy”s tank and the younger generation may have to wait their turn.

PWX Tag Team Championship Match
Generation Kill(Corey Hollis & Chip Day) (c) vs The Great Outdoors(“Manscout” Jake Manning & Grizzly Redwood)
Hollis & Day are the first tag champions in several years for PWX, having won the titles in a tournament over two months ago defeating some of the best teams on the indy scene including The Great Outdoors. The champs are a perfect combination of brutal kicks & strikes(Day) and innovative offense(Hollis). Grizzly & the Manscout are arguably the most popular talents in PWX and will have the full support of the crowd in Charlotte. Just last month these two teams faced off, along with Team 7OH!4 in a phenomenal three way in which the champs barely left with their gold still in tact. On August 18 the road doesn’t get any easier for Generation Kill as they look to further establish themselves as the most dominant team in the Carolinas and beyond. The Great Outdoors will try to feed off the crowd and reward them this time by leaving Charlotte the new PWX tag team champions.

Steve Corino vs Alex Averignos
Corino is accompanying Kevin Steen to Charlotte and has found a match for himself as well on August 18 against the returning Alex Averignos. Corino, the king of old school and one half of the most evil duo in pro wrestling will look to punish Averignos for accepting this match. Alex has competed several times for PWX and throughout the Carolinas and will look to make a huge return in knocking off one of the most experienced men he has ever faced. Another battle of Age and Experience vs Youth and Athleticism. Will Old School win out or will Alex Averignos get the biggest win of his young career?

ROH World Championship Match
“Pro Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen v Cedric Alexander
Two ROH superstars square off and the biggest prize in ROH is on the line in Charlotte on August 18th! Jim Cornette has sanctioned this match to be for the Ring Of Honor World title and it’s no secret Cornette is not a fan of Steen as ROH champ or at all! Alexander is a mainstay in PWX as well as a consistent performer for ROH. Will Kevin Steen take this opportunity to show Jim Cornette he will not be toyed with and hurt Alexander in the process? Can Cedric Alexander rise to the challenge and win he ROH championship in his hometown of Charlotte? This rare title defense outside of ROH is  certainly is not a match to be missed and will be a battle!

PWX World Championship Match
“The Midnight Son” Caleb Konley (c) vs “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis
The newly crowned PWX champion has his work cut out for him in his first title defense as he takes on one of ROH’s hottest young talents the brash, cocky Mike Bennett. Bennett would like nothing more than to spoil the celebration of Konley and take the PWX Championship on August 18. Konley has taken that step to the next level after challenging and defeating Rhett Titus in July and will look to continue that roll and his reign at the top of the PWX mountain. We cannot forget the X factor, former WWE diva and “1st lady of ROH” Maria Kanellis who will be closely watching from ringside and certainly providing more than just moral support to her man Mike Bennett.

All of these great matches plus appearances and matches  from Arena Chicks CEO Amber O’Neal, Ric Converse, Zane Riley, & Craig Huffman and more! For more information on this and other PWX events visit www.pwxperience.com and follow them on twitter @PWXWrestling1
