Smash Wrestling: Any Given Sunday
Sun Jan 6/12 – eZone –
Toronto, On

Referees: Derek Morningstar, Jeremy Hogel

1) Mathieu St. Jacques d. Brent Banks via a school boy w/ a hand full of tights.
Match Notes: Brent Banks debuted a brand new customized theme song.
Post-Match: An infuriated Banks verbally berated Referee Morningstar about missing the cheating tactics of his opponent and subsequently shoved him. The long time fan favourite yet again ended a Smash Wrestling contest by being booed on his way out the ring.

2) Myles of Action d. Jack Rushton/Weapon X via a top rope elbow by Jackson.
Match Notes: This was Jack Rushton’s first ever match.

3) “The Handicap Hero” Gregory Iron d. John Greed via a wheel barrel roll up.

4) “Cyborg” Tyson Dux vs. “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea went to a 20-minute time limit draw.
Post Match: This makes it two shows where Dux and O’Shea went to a draw. Thereafter, Kevin Steen came out and attacked Scotty O’Shea. Steen spoke about his personal dislike and jealousy for O’Shea. After Gargano came out the odds were made even and set the stage for the main event.

5) “Rocksteady” Alex Vega d. “Psycho” Mike Rollins via a reverse springboard flatliner.

6) The Overdogs w/ Seleziya Sparx d. 3.0 via Suave nailing Matthews with Sparx’ boot and a subsequent combination by Alexander & Suave.
Match Notes: Sparx got involved one too many times and at one point ended up being the third recipient of a boston crab submission by Shane Matthews.

7) “The Whole Shebang” Johnny Gargano & “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea d. “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen & “Cyborg” Tyson Dux via a series of kicks and a pin by Gargano on Steen.
Match Notes: All four men brawled across the venue for the first 10 minutes using all types of weapons imaginable. O’Shea also hit a moonsault off the venue bar to a loud ovation.
Post Match: Gargano and O’Shea thanked the crowd for coming out as the crowd showered their appreciation for both men.

FINAL NOTES:
*We want to sincerely thank all the fans that came out and made this a special evening. The Smash Wrestling team was overwhelmed by the passion displayed from all of you.
*Kevin Steen severely injured his back the previous night and had no business getting in a ring on January 6. Backstage, he had trouble getting up from a chair or walking. He still went out there and gave everyone a hell of a show. Kudos and our utmost respect to Steen for doing what he did.
*Continue to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, www.smash-wrestling.com and anywhere else for the releases of our event highlight reel, post-match promos, AGS DVD release and much more!
