National Pro Wrestling Day 02.02.13 Afternoon and Evening iPPV Results

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our LIVE coverage of both the Afternoon and Evening Cards of “National Pro Wrestling Day!” Throughout the day, we will be updating results as they occur. For now, you can check out the line-up for the shows here.

Match 1: The Briscoes defend the ROH World Tag Team Titles against S.C.U.M. (Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino)

Result: The Briscoes retain the titles after hitting Jimmy Jacobs with the Doomsday Device. Corino attacks them after the match and proclaims that ROH is really “Ring of S.C.U.M.” Once they leave, Jay Briscoe challenges Kevin Steen for the ROH World Title.

Match 2: Juan Francisco de Coronado takes on Saturyne (Presented by Wrestling is Fun!)

Result: Saturyne wins with a sunset flip, blocking Coranado’s sunset flip.

Match 3: Tommy Dreamer & Hale Collins vs. Vik Dalisush & Ben Ortiz (Presented by House of Hardcore)

Result: Dreamer and Collins win, after Dreamer gives Dalisush a DDT and Collins gives him a top rope elbow smash. Ortiz beats up the referee after the match.

Match 4: Ethan Page (w/Selexiya Sparx) vs. Josh Alexander (Presented by Absolute Intense Wrestling)

Result: Alexander pins Page with a Tombstone Piledriver.

Match 5: Arik Royal & Chiva Kid vs. Ric Converse & Trevor Lee (Presented by CWF Mid-Atlantic)

Result: Lee acidentally pump kicks Converse. Royal hits Lee with a vertical knee strike, then Chiva pins Lee with a double rotation moonsault.

Match 6: Matt Tremont vs. Rory Mondo vs. Latin Dragon (Presented by Combat Zone Wrestling)

Result: Tremont pins Dragon with a spinning powerbomb.

Match 7: Mike Quackenbush vs. Colt Cabana (Presented by Wrestling is Art)

Result: Cabana sits down on a sunset flip to get the pinfall victory over Quackenbush. After the match Cabana is given the 2013 Ambassador of Independent Wrestling Award by Bill Apter.

Match 8: #KOA (Sugar Dunkerton & Aaron Epic) vs. Chris Dickinson & Eric Corvis (Presented by Beyond Wrestling)

Result: Dunkerton lariats Dickinston into Epic’s Lightning Spiral for the win. The #KOA retain the Resistance Pro Tag titles.

Match 9: Rey de Voladores Elimination Match #1 – Shane Hollister (with Scarlett Bordeaux) (AAW) vs. 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Oliver Grimsley (QWEST) vs. Jo Jo Bravo (Anarchy Championship Wrestling)

Result
– Hollister eliminated JoJo Bravo with a superkick.
– Scorpio eliminates Hollister with an Arabian Pres.
– Scorpio eliminates Grimsley with a 450 splash. He wins the match and will advance to the Rey de Voladores finals on the evening card.

Match 10: Dr. Cube & Sekmet vs. American Beetle & Neo Teppen (Presented by Kaiju Big Battel)

Result: Two guys in Dr. Cube scrubs replaced cube and Sekmet. Sekmet chokeslammed Beetle on the floor and one of the Minions pinned him. Quite a car crash of an experience.

Match 11: Drew Gulak vs. Francis O’Rourke (Presented by Wrestling is Respect)

Result: Gulak gets the win after putting O’Rourke in the Gulock (Dragon Sleeper). Potential match of the night. Really good stuff.

Match 12: Rey De Voladores Elimination Match #2: ACH (St. Louis Anarchy) vs. Bolt Brady (Metro Pro Wrestling) vs. Surfer Mitch (Battlewar) vs. Lukas Sharp (CTWE)

Result
– Sharp eliminates Brady with a side piledriver.
– Mitch eliminates Sharp with a 630 splash.
– ACH wins after a super Frankensteiner and a frog splash to Mitch. He’ll face 2 Cold Scorpio on the Evening Card.

Match 1: The League (Tripp Cassidy & Reed Bentley) vs. Heidi Lovelace & Devin Bliss (Representing Wrestling is Heart/The School of Roc)

Result: Bentley pins Lovelace after a pop-up forearm.

Match 2: The SAT (Joel & Wil Maximo) vs. Angel Ortiz & Mike Draztik (Representing Fighting Spirit Wrestling)

Result: The SAT hit the Spanish Fly on Ortiz for the win.

Match 3: Christina Von Eerie vs. Ezavel Suena (Representing Women’s Superstar Uncensored)

Result: Suena catches Von Eerie with a sunset flip for the win. Von Eerie chokes Suena with her studded belt after the match.

Match 4: Robert Anthony & ThunderKitty vs. Jay Bradley & D’Arcy Dixon (Representing Resistance Pro Wrestling)

Result: Anthony catches Bradley with a small package to get the win for his team.

Match 5: The Colony (Fire Ant & Green Ant) & 3.0 (Scott “Jagged” Parker & Shane Matthews) vs. F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Chuck Taylor) & Los Ice Creams (El Hijo del Ice Cream & Ice Cream Jr.) (Representing CHIKARA)

Result: 3.0 pin Icarus with the Sweet Taste of Professionalism.

Match 7: Tony Nese & Apollyon vs. Alex Reynolds & Jon Silver (Representing New York Wrestling Connection)

Result: Apollyon pins Reynolds after a top rope splash.

Match 8: AR Fox vs. Shane Strickland (Representing EVOLVE Wrestling)

Result: Fox pins Strickland with the Lo Mein Pain. Hot match, possibly the best of the Evening Card.

Match 9: The Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive) (with Sidney Bakabella) vs. The Estonian Thunderfrog & Latvian Proud Oak (Representing Wrestling is Awesome)

Result: The Devastation Corporation get the win with the Death Blow on Proud Oak.

Match 10: IWC Heavyweight Champion John McChesney defends the title against Logan Shulo. (Representing International Wrestling Cartel)

Result: McChesney retains the title with a belt shot behind referee Derek Sabato’s back.

Match 11: “The Hurricane” Shane Helms & Matty DeNero vs. The Batiri (Ophidian & Kobald) (Representing Wrestling’s Heroes & Outlaws)

Result: Helms pins Kobald after he and DeNero chokeslam him at the same time.

Match 12: Rey de Voladores Finals – 2 Cold Scorpio vs. ACH

Result: Scorpio wins the Rey de Voladores tournament by hitting a moonsault senton.
