2 out of 3 Falls
Aaron Epic (+9) vs. Dave Cole (-3)

Epic tries popping Cole’s shoulder out. Cole buys some time on the floor. When he comes back in Epic targets his arm once more. Cole responds with some arm work of his own. Epic delivers an armdrag and calf kicks Cole to the floor. When Cole tries to slingshot in, Epic knees him down. He follows him to the floor with a knee strike off the apron. Cole does some more damage to the arm. Epic sets up for his Fastball Punch. Cole punches him in the crotch. That disqualifies Cole, giving Epic the first fall at 5:33. It turns out Cole did that inentionally, just so he could win a fall shortly after with a Tiger Bomb at 5:54. This now ties the match at one fall a piece. Cole dropkicks Epic to the floor, then hits a missile dropkick back in the ring for two. Epic goes for a sunset flip to counter a back body drop. Cole drops an elbow after a snot rocket instead. He boots Epic in the side of the head twice. Epic rolls him into an enzuigiri. They exchange strikes until Epic delivers a headbutt. He gets two with a Complete Shot. Epic clotheslines him into an STO for another two count. Cole catches a leg lariat. He strings together a backbreaker and short-arm lariat for two. Cole goes to the top rope. Epic tries to fight him off. Cole ends up crotching Epic on the second rope and kicking him in the back of the head. He double stomps Epic out of a tree of woe position. Epic kicks out! He gives Cole a Saito suplex and an Air Raid Crash for two. Cole ducks a kick. Another Tiger Driver only gets him two. The Tiger Smash follows for the same result. He applies a Rings of Saturn. Epic gets the ropes. He hip tosses Cole into a knee strike. The Fast Ball Punch puts Cole away at 16:44, giving Epic the win 2 falls to 1. That was an awesome back and forth match and a solid pre-cursor for their 3 out of 5 falls match on the next show. Epic’s tremendous and Cole is underrated. A great way to kick this show off. ***1/2

Darius Carter makes his way to the ring.. He challenged Drew Gulak to a rubber match (Carter defeated Gulak at “Crises Precipitate Change” while Gulak defeated him at “Off the Grid.”) Thing is, Gulak had been advertised for weeks to be at CZW tonight in a No Rope Barbed Wire match. Carter purposefully made the challenge for tonight to try and score an easy forfeit victory. Instead, his former partner TJ Marconi answers the challenge. A real match never transpires. Both men fight in their street clothes in and out of the ring for awhile. Carter throws water into Marconi’s face. The intensity picks up and both guys have to be held back.

Julian Starr (+2) vs. Matt Taven (-2)

Starr trips Taven and grabs his ankle. Taven kicks him away. Starr flips out of a trip attempt. Taven skins the cat to avoid being pitched out, but gets clotheslined to the floor right after. Starr follows with a variation of the Fosberry Flop. Starr kicks Taven to the corner. He slingshots in with a Frankensteiner and gets two with a dropkick. He kicks Taven to the apron. Taven kicks him but misses a crossbody. Starr spinwheel kicks him over the top rope. Taven catches him with a kick coming back in the ring. He uses the second rope for a neckbreaker. He gives Starr a delayed vertical suplex. He gets two with a running knee strike. Starr comes back with a lungblower. A dropkick and missile dropkick earn him a two count. Taven springboards off the second rope and kicks Starr in the back. He then hits a cyclone kick for two. Starr lifts up Taven for a Blue Thunder Bomb, but Taven’s boot accidentally hits the referee. Taven’s valet tries to interfere but Starr’s partner Mikey Webb tries to stop her. She ends up giving Starr a huracanrana. In retaliation, Webb hits Taven with a 619. The problem is, Taven ended up landing on top of Starr. Luckily Starr kicks out. Taven places Starr on the top rope. Starr misses a moonsault. Taven hits a frog splash for the pin at 14:43. I liked the story of the match and both guys definitely have what it takes to break out if given the chance. ***

Pinkie Sanchez (+5) vs. Magic (0)

Pinkie Sanchez is my favorite person for coming out to “Tunak Tunak Tun.” Magic is an iconic wrestling trainer in the New England area and helped out Sanchez. Sanchez offers a handshake. Magic takes it but crushes Sanchez’s hand. He miss a corner splash. Sanchez throws some chops and punches. Magic misses an attack. Sanchez drops him with a springboard bulldog. Magic clotheslines him as he comes off the middle rope. He humps Sanchez in the butt and to the floor. In the ring, Sanchez gets his knees up to block a splash, but Magic’s large frame still does some damage. He hits the Shining to the back of Magic’s head for two. Magic powerbombs Sanchez to block a running boot. Magic literally humps him in the missionary position. He goes the Shaolin Prayer. Sanchez slips out and delivers a neckbreaker. He drives his posterior into Magic thrice and goes up top. A moonsault gets him the pin at 8:08. Not much of a match more so than just a way to bring some levity to the card. I’m fine with it. N/R

Elia Markopoulus (0) vs. Brian Fury (+1)

Markopoulus jumps Fury from behind. Fury mows him down with some clotheslines and a slam. They fight around ringside. Fury slams Markopoulus into a chair that Markopoulus brought out from under the ring. Fury allows a fan to get in a strike, then dropkicks Markopoulus back in the ring. Fury misses a corner attack. Markopoulus gives him a Gourd Buster for two. He chokes Fury on the middle rope. He snapmares him into a dropkick and stands on his hair while stretching out his arms. Markopoulus kicks Fury and Fury responds with an enzuigiri. Markopoulus stings a neckbreaker and spin kick together for two. He misses a chair shot. He eats a superkick and a pop-up powerbomb, giving Fury the win at 10:07. Decent showing from both guys, but nothing particularly special. **1/2

The Throwbacks (“Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti (0) & Dasher Hatfield (+1)) vs. DUI (Anthony Stone (+2) & Kellan Thomas (+1))

Angelosetti tags out before getting contact with Thomas. Hatfield controls him by his arms. Thomas armdrags him but Hatfield lands on his feet. He lands a shoulder block and smacks Thomas on the behind. They trade armdrags. Hatfield misses two punches which Thomas call strikes. On the third try, Hatfield suckers Thomas into stomach punch. He underhand chops him to the corner, then runs the bases for a baseball slide dropkick. Angelosetti trips him. He does some bragging, allowing Stone to come in and take control with some kicks. Angelosetti flips him to the floor. Stone sweeps his legs and comes in with a high crossbody for two. Thomas droptoe holds him into Stone’s dropkick. Angelosetti hits one of his own. He ties up Stone and holds him for Hatfield’s baseball slide. Angelosetti does an unbelievable pop-up tackle that sends Stone flying. Stone still is able to kick out. Angelosetti turns him inside out with a clothesline. He picks him up into a powerbomb for two. Stone gets his knees up to block a splash. Thomas tags in and fights off both Throwbacks. He throws Hatfield shoulder first into Angelosetti in the corner, then into his crotch. DUI hit a Doomsday Meteora. They see Angelosetti coming in so they break the pin. This causes him to splash onto Hatfield. Angelosetti is thrown to the floor. Hatfield throws DUI into each other. He hits the Jackhammer onto Stone for two. He gives Stone a neckbreaker out of Angelosetti’s arms. Thomas breaks the pin. Angelosetti is going to use a baseball glove as a weapon. Hatfield tries to stop him but gets shoved down. Angelosetti smacks Thomas with the flove, then delivers a pop-up spinebuster for the pin at 15:04. Angelosetti was on fire in this match. He brutalized Stone and got the crowd to antagonize him. Hatfield and Thomas played their parts well too, but this was for sure the Mark Angelosetti show featuring Anthony Stone. ***

Dan Barry (+3) vs. JT Dunn (+2)

Mark Shurman and Vermon Somoza is in Dunn’s corner. Barry works over Dunn’s arm to start. Dunn throws a punch so Barry throws a few back. Shurman comes in and helps Dunn beat Barry down. Johnny Cocckstrong runs in to even the odds. The match is thrown out at 2:38. The official, with approval from Denver Colorado, turns this into a tag bout. The Professional Revolution does not like it.

Johnny Cockstrong (+10) & Dan Barry (+3) vs. The Professional Revolution (JT Dunn (+2) & Mark Shurman (0)

The Revolution get pitched out to the floor. Cockstrong tope con hilo’s after them. Barry comes out with a Fosbury Flop when they recover. In the ring Barry slingshots into an Arabian Press for two. The Revolution take control of Cockstrong for a long while. He finally comes back with a couple of Shining Cock’s to Shurman. Barry tags in and cleans house. He hip tosses Dunn into a neckbreaker and superkicks Shurman. He flips Dunn inside out with a belly-to-back suplex. Shurman breaks the cover. Dunn accidentally bicycle kicks Shurman when he holds Barry. Barry gives him a double underhook brainbuster for the pin at 11:46. The heat segment may have lasted a little too long, but all the wrestling was excellent and it was entertaining throughout. **3/4

The Professional Revolution looks to do some more damage post match but get chased off by Pinkie Sanchez, Steve “The Turtle” Weiner and Tim Hughes run them off.

Johnny Miyagi (-1) vs. Oleg the Usurper (-2)

Oleg back hands Miyagi in the face instead of shaking his hand. He builds up some momentum by hitting the ropes and splashes Miyagi in the corner. “Off With His Head!” gets Oleg the pin at 2:02. An awesome squash for the re-debuting Usurper. *

The Washington Bullets (Jon Williams (0) & Trey Williams (0)) vs. The Hate Junkies (dany only (+2) & Stryknyn (0))

The Junkies attack before the bell. The Bullets send them to the floor. In the ring the Junkies avoid being whipped into each other, but then get sent back out with stereo dropkicks. The Bullets baseball dropkick them into the crowd. The Bullets do damage to Stryknyn’s arm as only recovers. Trey tackles him to the corner and Jon knees him in the face for two. Trey bicycle kicks him for another two count. Stryknyn tags out after giving Jon a chinbreaker. He dropkicks only right away. The Bullets string together some offense but can’t get a pin. only pokes Jon in the eyes and throws him to the mat. He gets one with a senton. He throws Jon into Stryknyn’s knee. The Junkies isolate Jon and wear him down until he hops off Stryknyn’s shoulders to avoid a powerbomb and tags in Trey. Trey uses some creative offense to take down both Junkie. He superkicks Stryknyn for two. Trey holds Stryknyn by his legs so Jon can kick him in the face. The Bullets double hip toss him to the mat. He recovers in time for a spear/clothesline combo onto Trey for the pin at 11:17. A little sloppy, but fun. The Bullets are a really good team that know how to utilize tandem offense effectively and cleanly. Stryknyn and only are good too but seemed to have some miscues along the way. The Bullets would go on to have a great match the next night with the Throwbacks (watch it here!) and it would be cool to see them again. **1/2

Mark Angel (+12) vs. AJ Evers (-3)

Nick Talent is in Angel’s corner. Angel tells Evers to lay down. He does so, but then gets slapped in the face. Evers forearms Talent off the apron and slaps Angel in the face. He pulls off a quesadora armdrag. Angel rolls through a crossbody for two. Evers sends him to the apron upon kicking out of an O’Conner Roll. Angel snaps his neck across the top rope. Angel pulls him out of the corner into a powerbomb for two. He rolls into a standing moonsault for two. Evers kicks out his knee before delivering a superkick. Angel sends him to the floor where Talent rakes his face. Evers makes a comeback, giving Angel an Angle Slam for two. Angel goes for the rollback moonsault again and gets caught with a German suplex instead. Angel comes back with a modified Flea Flicker. Evers kicks out. Angel drives his forearm into the back of Evers’ head repeatedly. He lifts him into a chokeslam for two. Evers is placed on the top rope. Angel brings him down with a DDT! Angel puts on a half crab while stomping Evers in the head. The referee calls for the bell at 12:14, declaring Angel the winner. This was quite a match with Evers looking tough throughout but ultimately falling to the much crueler members of the Academy of Anatomy. This positions the Academy higher up the cards while changing Evers’ dynamic with them. I really wonder if we will inevitably see the group implode and what will happen as a result. ***

Many people check on Evers after the match. Of course, Angel and Talent show no sympathy.

Jonny Mangue (0) & Corvis Fear (+9) vs. The Pitboss (+7) & Matthew Justice
Special Guest Referee: Chris Dickinson (+6)

Marti Belle is in the Pitboss’ and Justice’s corner. Justice was a replacement for Robbie Roller, and attacks Mangue and Fear from behind. They fight on the floor and eventually end up back in the ring to officially start. Mangue gives Justice a neckbreaker. Justice gives him a Death Valley Driver for two. Justice and Pitboss keep him in their half of the ring and making frequent tags. The Beyond roster is ringside trying to pump Mangue up. Mangue superkicks Pitboss and tags in Fear. He takes down Justice with a combination of strikes, getting two with a haymaker. Belle gets in Fear’s face. This allows Justice to Hot Shot him and boot him in the face. Now it’s Fear that Justice and Pitboss take turns beating down. He’s able to crossbody Pitboss across the bottom rope. Justice though holds his arms so Belle can get in a few shots and keep him trapped. He manages to sneak away from Justice and tag in Mangue who throws chops and headbutts at both opponents. Mangue boots Pitboss in the side of the head. Mangue crossbody’s Justice as he and Fear are trading blows. Mangue pescado’s after Pitboss and Justice who have hit the floor. Fear tope con hilo’s after that. In the ring, Mangue passes Pitboss to Fear for a German suplex. Justice drops Fear with a Death Valley Driver. Mangue belly-to-belly suplexes out of the corner. He gets two with a rolling thunder headbutt. Mangue becomes busted open when Pitboss splashes him in the corner. He hits a lariat but Mangue kicks out. Mangue and Pitboss fight over a neckbreaker. Fear and Justice splash onto them before it can be executed. Upon recovery, Fear stomps Pitboss’ face into Mangue’s knee! Justice throws them together and knees them both in the face. Pitboss gives Mangue a spinebuster. Mangue puts him in the Jaws of the Jaguar. He escapes, so Fear drops him with an Ace Crusher. The Jaws of the Jaguar get reapplied. Pitboss submits at 15:15. That has a lot of creative spots, some really good wrestling, and what felt like legitimate heat from all involved. All of that made this a worthwhile main event and a fun bout to witness. ***1/2

Magnue wants a match with Dickinson right then. Dickinson bails after teasing that it may happen. Fear drags in Marti Belle. The Hate Junkies attack Fear and Mangue from behind before they can do any damage to Belle. The Junkies, Justice, Pitboss and Belle stand tall in the ring as Mangue is beaten down. Fear has to be held back from attacking.

Overall: Unfortunately, the Beyond Wrestling DVD catalogue has come out out of order this year. While the quality of matches have been very good, it’s been tough to follow stories. This show felt like the missing puzzle piece that unraveled the backstories of the shows that came after this one. If you are someone who collects Beyond shows, this will be a real treat to watch. Even if you’re not, there’s many very good matches on this set that warrant a watch. Given that it does flesh out some storylines, it’s a good jumping on point for newer fans too.

You can purchase “All Aboard” on DVD from either Beyond Wrestling’s store or Smart Mark Video. The show is also available as an mp4 download or streaming at Smart Mark Video. Be sure to check out Beyond Wrestling’s website for more information on the company, and their YouTube page which offers tons of free content, including full, exclusive matches.
