This week: All the not so subtle hints and sewn seeds you need for Hell In A Cell, re: Shawn Michaels and ‘doing the right thing’, which may or may not have played into the finish of the PPV. Plus, Big Show crashes Raw the best way he knows how (in a big thing with wheels attitude era style), Big E steps up and Bryan keeps on winning, on TV at least.

RAW

– HHH and Stephanie came out. They plugged Hell In A Cell and Shawn’s guarantee of a new champion. HHH said he trusted Shawn. Big Show appeared on the screen by satellite and argued with HHH, while Stephanie tried to figure out who put him on the screen. She managed to get Show taken off the screen and HHH said it was on with the show. He introduced Ambrose, but Bryan came out instead.

Daniel Bryan d. Dean Ambrose by submission in 12:50. Ambrose took over after an even start, avoiding a flying knee off the apron and hitting a clothesline. Bryan fought back after a double crossbody and things really picked up by the end. Bryan won countering a roll up into the YES Lock.

– Punk came out. He said Hell In A Cell defined legacy and his would be defined by what he did to Heyman. Punk said Ryback couldn’t save Heyman from it and promised he’d know about extreme after Hell In A Cell.

– HHH told Vickie she’d be covering for Maddox tonight and warned her not to screw up. They then found Shawn in their office and they acted buddy buddy. Shawn quizzed him about Bryan and pointed out what he was saying, they used to say about Shawn too. They told him things had changed and Shawn pointed out at least he could still have fun.

Santino Marella d. Heath Slater in 3:28. Santino, Khali and Hornswoggle were dressed as Elvis, because Memphis. Santino won with the cobra which had a wig too, because Memphis. Then he got the crowd to chant for Lawler, also because Memphis.

Randy Orton d. Dolph Ziggler in 7:49. Ziggler was aggressive early but got sent into the ring post. Ziggler took an ugly looking landing on an exploder suplex at one point. As Orton set up the RKO, Ziggler countered with a dropkick. But Orton then countered the Zig Zag and hit the RKO for the pin.

The Bella Twins d. AJ and Tamina Snuka (Brie pinned AJ) in 5:06. Tamina tried to save AJ from a knee strike, but Brie took out Tamina and beat AJ with a facebuster.

– Renee interviewed Heyman and his guys. Heyman did a wild ranting and raving speech, then said he wasn’t filled with emotion like Punk, he was cold hearted, calculated and in control. He said it wasn’t him locked in a cell with Punk, it was the other way around. Big E interrupted, annoyed with what Heyman said on Smackdown last week and it ended up with Axel and Big E agreeing to a match. Shawn being Bryan’s trainer was then played up and they showed some old TWA footage.

The Wyatt Family d. The Miz and Kofi Kingston (Harper pinned Kofi) in 4:52. Miz got distracted by Bray quickly and Miz was worked over for most of the match. Kofi got a tag and made a decent comeback, before hitting Trouble In Paradise to Rowan on the apron, but turning around into the spinning clothesline from Harper. After the match Miz tried to save Kofi, but got jumped. Harper and Rowan tied him in the ropes and held his eyes open, while Bray said something about something.

CM Punk and Big E Langston d. Ryback and Curtis Axel (Big E pinned Axel) in 6:38. Before Axel against Big E could start Big E attacked Axel and Ryback got involved. Big E fought them off until Heyman hit Big E with a kendo stick and Ryback hit a clothesline, before Punk ran out with a kendo stick to even the odds. Vickie then came out to change it into a tag team match. Punk was cut off. Big E then ran wild and after Ryback took out Punk, Big E won with the Big Ending. After the match, Punk chased Heyman through the crowd and celebrated with the fans. Truth then plugged some merchandise for some reason.

The Real Americans d. Tons Of Funk (Swagger submitted Brodus) in 3:34. El Torito did an inset promo. Yes really. Zeb did commentary, claiming Los Matadores had kidnapped El Torito and it had stockholm syndrome. Cesaro did the big swing on Brodus and Swagger followed with the ankle lock for the win. Zeb then revealed he had a bull whip to deal with his problem.

Tag Team #1 Contendership: The Shield and The Usos went to a no contest in 10:56. Cody and Goldust did commentary. Usos started strong, before The Shield took control. After Jimmy ran wild, the match then broke down. Jimmy avoided a spear and Reigns got his knees up to block the superfly splash. Ambrose then goaded Cody and Goldust into a brawl and everybody got involved, forcing the referee to throw the match out, which would set up a three way at the PPV.

– The Orton Bryan contract signing closed the show. HHH, Stephanie and Shawn were all there as well. Orton pointed out he beat Sheamus and Cena in Hell In A Cell and Bryan had no idea what he was getting into. Bryan said he would be champion if it wasn’t for Triple H. HHH compared him to Edge, Jericho and RVD who were top guys but never ‘the one’. Bryan dared him to trade his suit for some wrestling gear so he could show him how good he was. HHH declined because he only fought A+ players. He said Shawn wasted his time training Bryan, so Shawn interrupted and said he didn’t waste his time. Shawn wondered what had happened to HHH. He questioned what HHH had against Bryan and said maybe it was that Bryan had proven him wrong. Big Show then drove into the arena in a truck, which distracted everyone long enough for Bryan to give Orton the running knee. Bryan and Big Show then celebrated on the truck.

MAIN EVENT

Seth Rollins d. Goldust in 11:48. Goldust more than matched Rollins early. Goldust got distracted by Reigns outside though allowing Rollins to throw him into the barrier. Goldust eventually fought back and almost won with a spinebuster after avoiding the flying knee. In the end they fought outside and Goldust got into a staredown with Reigns. Cody hit Reigns, but Rollins rolled up Goldust for the pin.

The Real Americans d. The Primetime Players (Swagger submitted Titus) in 5:20. Young got worked on. Titus made a comeback but got giant swung, setting up the ankle lock for Swagger like on Raw.

The Funkadactyls d. Aksana and Alicia Fox (Naomi pinned Aksana) in 2:38. After some awkward moments late on, Naomi beat Aksana with the Rear Ender.

Damien Sandow d. Dolph Ziggler in 5:19. Ziggler got a near fall with the fameasser, but Sandow won clean with the Silencer full nelson slam.

NXT

Sasha Banks d. Emma in 7:19. Tensai was on commentary for some reason this week. Summer got on the apron as Emma went for the Emma Lock. And despite Paige ran out to pull her off the apron, Emma was still distracted and got rolled up for the pin. After the match Sasha taunted Emma and Paige accidentally clotheslined Emma when Sasha moved, which Emma wasn’t happy about.

– An interview with Bo from the previous week aired. He said all that mattered about what happened last week was he was still champion. He said he’d be taking a vacation and he would take a special stop to deliver squirt guns to children in Bolivia.

– Graves came out to explain why he turned on Neville last week. But before he could, Neville ran out and attacked him. Referees had to separate them.

The Ascension d. Casey Maron and Tommy Taylor (Victor pinned Maron) in 2:32. The crowd rooted for the jobber team because they’re not The Ascension. Taylor didn’t even tag in, as Maron got dominated and lost to the Fall Of Man double team.

– In a Sami interview from last week, he said he was starting to understand what Daniel Bryan was going through but next time he’d keep the title for good. Renee then interviewed JBL, who said the world didn’t revolve around Sami Zayn and he couldn’t be bought. JBL then announced Sami wouldn’t be back until he apologised and JBL decided to bring him back.

Alexander Rusev d. CJ Parker by submission in 1:16. An unnamed blonde woman came out to watch, as Rusev completely squashed CJ and won quickly with the camel clutch. During the break, Breeze then gave Parker a spin kick and cut off one of his dreadlocks. The crowd responded to this heinous act by chanting “more”.

Corey Graves d. Adrian Neville by submission in 7:08. Neville started hot and hit a corkscrew dive. Graves went after the leg to take over. When Neville tried to make a comeback, he tweaked his knee jumping off the top and soon after, Graves managed to clip the knee and win with Lucky 13. Graves then put Lucky 13 on again on the ramp afterwards.

SMACKDOWN

– Cole brought out HHH, for an in ring version of their weekly WWE.com sit down interviews. HHH said he hoped Big Show was happy, because six people were fired because of him, for being involved in his satellite link on Raw. He said he’d give no further comments and Big Show was irrelevant. HHH said he couldn’t wait for Cena to return and was thrilled Shawn was referee for the WWE Title match. He insisted Shawn would do the right thing. Bryan interrupted. He pointed out nobody would get in or out of Hell In A Cell until there was a definitive winner and said he’d prove HHH wrong by becoming WWE Champion.

The Usos d. The Wyatt Family (Jey pinned Harper) in 2:35. Miz did commentary. He gave Wyatt a running boot and goaded Rowan to chase him backstage, leaving Harper to lose to a double superkick.

AJ d. Nikki Bella by submission in 2:33. Nikki reinjured her shin and Tamina threw Brie into the steps, while AJ beat Nikki with the Black Widow.

– Backstage, Bray brought a camera to where they’d attacked The Miz and painted ‘Liar’ on his chest.

Los Matadores d. Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre of 3MB (Fernando pinned Drew) in 2:02. The Real Americans came out before the match to watch. Los Matadores won with a new finisher, which like their last one doesn’t have a name, but is at least easier to describe (it’s a flatliner with a facecrusher by the other matador) which I deem an acceptable trade-off. After the match Jinder took an El Torito battering ram and a top rope asai moonsault, before Zeb ran them down and claimed The Real Americans would prevail at Hell In A Cell.

Two On One No DQ Handicap Match: Ryback and Paul Heyman d. CM Skunk in 2:42. CM Skunk was, as the same suggests, a jobber dressed up like Punk with his hair dyed black and white. Ryback destroyed him with some powerbombs, then Heyman beat him with a kendo stick, before Ryback hit Shell Shocked and Heyman pinned him with his foot. Afterwards Heyman insisted they were serious about Hell In A Cell and he’d pin Punk again to prove he was best in the world.

– Big E volunteered to sub for Miz in the main event. Vickie said she’d run it by HHH. Big E asked if she was the GM and Vickie got mad at being compared to Maddox, so put him in the match.

– Del Rio came out. He said Cena was fooling himself. Del Rio called himself a real life Mexican super hero and claimed people were throwing parades and building monuments for him. Del Rio called Cena a gringo and at Hell In A Cell, he’d put him in the cross armbreaker and never let go before inviting the crowd to kiss his ass. Then, Santino interrupted Truth’s WWE Shop segment and let him plug merchandise.

Great Khali and Fandango went to a no contest in 1:35. Summer distracted Khali and slapped Natalya when she intervened. Summer and Natalya fought and Fandango separated them, only to get the big chop.

Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Big E Langston d. Randy Orton and The Shield (Bryan pinned Orton) in 15:57. Match started with Bryan’s team more on top, before eventually Cody got cut off. Goldust got the tag and put up a short comeback, before Bryan ran wild. Bryan hit a dive on Orton and got Ambrose in the YES Lock but Reigns saved. Things broke down and Cody dove onto Rollins and Reigns, leaving Bryan and Ambrose. Orton got in and set up the RKO, but Big E came in and countered the RKO, pushing Orton into the running knee from Bryan for the pin.

What You (Probably) Need To See:
– Bryan versus Ambrose on Raw.
– Ziggler against Orton from Raw.
– Goldust versus Seth Rollins from Main Event.
– And the eight man tag team main event on Smackdown.
