AAW-maddygtv

You can watch the episode here on AAW Pro’s Youtube Channel. Hosted by Phil Colvin and Derek St. Holmes. Featuring matches from AAW’s Chaos Theory 2014 (review here) and Bound by Hate 2013 (review here).

With no introduction, the show goes to Ty Colton vs. DC Dynamite vs. Marek Brave vs. Knight Wagner from Chaos Theory 2014. This was a nice mix of new names to AAW and the more current guard. Dynamite has been impressive every time I’ve seen him, and this was no exception. After the feud with Rose, here’s a reminder of the caliber athlete Brave is. Add in some funny exchanges in the middle between Colton and Wagner, this is a great match to start any show with.

Eddie Kingston promo from Bound by Hate 2013. He talks about how he got off on attacking Silas Young and Val Malone, and then tells Juntai Miller that he’s what’s wrong with the business.  Kingston has conviction in spades, and it’s his greatest strength as a wrestler. Good stuff.

Kingston vs. Miller. Kingston is riled up by the crowd while Miller remains relaxed waiting for the match. Incredible way to introduce both their characters. As for the  match, it was solid before Young ran out to attack Kingston. Miller can be trusted to have a good match, and I think he and Kingston have a better match in them. I hope there can be a rematch down the road.

Main Event is Monster Mafia (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander) vs. Zero Gravity (Brett Gakiya and CJ Esparza). 2013 was the year for these Canadian gentlemen. Between Alexander’s immense ability and Page’s personality, Monster Mafia has very few flaws. Zero Gravity used their quickness to keep up with the bigger men, and it made for an incredible match. And of course, Alexander throwing either man around was money. Here’s hoping, despite what Page has with Men of the Year, that Monster Mafia isn’t done.

Another strong episode for AAW. Any criticism would be nitpicks at this point, and I’m glad they’ve decided to start mixing up the shows they take matches from. Zero Gravity and the Main Event Mafia is a must watch, and the four way is also great. I also enjoy that the Kingston/Young feud is being unfolded through the episodes as well, giving a sense of continuity. I would go out of my way to watch episode three.
