You can watch the episode here on AAW Pro’s Youtube Channel. Hosted by Phil Colvin and Derek St. Holmes, featuring matches from Scars and Stripes 2013. You can check out Jerome’s review of the entire event here.

Silas Young promo. He understands why Kingston came after him, to prove that he’s tough, but he proved he was a coward when he hit Val Malone. He tells him to get in the ring with a real man.

Shane Hollister  (c) w/ Scarlett Bordeaux and Markus Crane vs. Flip Kendrick

These two have a lot of fun exchanges. Kendrick is great to watch, and Hollister was a good foil for the more exciting competitor. There was interference from Hollister’s group, but they never took away from the match. There’s a fine line between making Hollister look like he can win, but chooses do use shortcuts, and making Hollister look like he needs a crutch. This match, it was the former.

Eddie Kingston takes offense to being called a bitch. He asks where Young is, and says that he misses Val Malone. He says that Rhino can’t put any fear in him.

Rhino is impressed with Kingston. He says that Kingston reminds him of himself. He promises to rip him in half.

Eddie Kingston vs. Rhino

Kingston throwing a chair into the ring at the very beginning set the tone for what was a fun brawl. They punched each other all over, threw each other into chairs, and they kept getting up. While not as brutal as I would’ve thought given the competitors, there was still enough to enjoy.

Kingston promo. He thinks something’s wrong with his rib, but he won. He wonders why Silas wasn’t there, and that’s made him angry. He promises to brutalize him at the next show.

The show has become the Kingston and Young show, and that’s not exactly a criticism. I’ve constantly bemoaned the lack of feud DVDs, and that is what the show has become: a retrospective of Kingston and Young’s feud, with a fun match or two thrown in for added value. I do think that the new viewer, going into this show, will know all about Kingston and Young but a lot less about the champions or the other feuds. While the show  is still good and keeping a narrative line is a plus in my book, I wonder if the show is living up to what it was supposed to be or if what we have is something wholly different.
