This week: The final shows on the Road To Wrestlemania 30. And the old ‘go-home show’ theory of winning on the last show before the PPV meaning you’ll lose at the PPV is apparently no more, as Bryan gets one over on The Authority, Orton and Batista, Lesnar F5s The Undertaker and John Cena outsmarts The Wyatt Family. Hmmmm. Plus, another impromptu battle royal, HHH’s magnificent highlight video, Brodus returns to NXT and 3MB put one in the win column.

RAW

– Undertaker came out. He talked about the streak and said the reason for it was he’d go further than anybody else at Wrestlemania. He claimed death, taxes and the streak couldn’t be beaten. Lesnar and Heyman interrupted. Heyman said Brock was taking the position of it being a match that Brock didn’t have to win, but that Undertaker had to not lose and he’d end the streak at Wrestlemania. They teased leaving before Brock walked to the ring. He then teased getting in for a while. Heyman tried to distract Undertaker and allow Lesnar to attack. Undertaker met him with punches but Lesnar hit a clothesline, before giving Undertaker the F5.

Alberto Del Rio d. Big E in 6:57. Big E posted his shoulder and Del Rio worked on the arm. Big E made a comeback but Del Rio blocked a splash. Big E avoided the kneeling superkick, before Del Rio escaped the Big Ending and hit a backstabber for a near fall. Big E countered the cross armbreaker and hit the splash for a near fall, before going for the Big Ending again. Del Rio took out the arm and got the cross armbreaker but Big E powered out. Del Rio grabbed the bottom rope to break the pin though. And Del Rio countered a move off the top to hit the double stomp with Big E tied in the ropes, then hit the kneeling superkick for the pin. Crowd were into this match.

– A Wyatt Family promo on Cena aired. Summer Rae d. Natalya in 2:21. They showed a clip from Total Divas to set this up, with Summer slapping Natalya for suggesting she got a reaction on TV because she wore practically nothing and said she was on the verge of being a stripper. Vickie did commentary and explained the Divas Championship match at Wrestlemania would be a one fall match. Summer escaped a sharpshooter and caught Natalya with a kick from the apron to get the pin.

– HHH and Stephanie came out. Stephanie said to say goodbye to the YES Movement because HHH would destroy Bryan at Wrestlemania. HHH questioned if people would care and said there was no loyalty in this generation, so they just latched onto things and moved onto something else when it was done. He referenced Fandangoing being a big thing a year ago and said the crowd threw it away and didn’t give a crap. HHH said the sad thing was Fandango was a quality talent, a solid B+ player but the crowd moved on.  Stephanie asked who wanted to see Bryan and mocked the crowd for joining in on her YES chant and that proved people just wanted to be part of something. She said Bryan wouldn’t be there this evening and that was best for business. HHH said the YES chants didn’t prove Bryan was an A+ player and it was like everyone who thought he had all the power and success he did because he married well. He admitted that he married spectacularly and shared a kiss with Stephanie, but the reason he had power was his dominance in the ring. HHH said it didn’t matter which flavour of the week was thrown his way, the same thing happened over and over again. To prove it, he introduced a video, narrated by Stephanie, showing Booker T, Scott Steiner, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Goldberg, Mick Foley, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle and the crowd reactions they got, then showing HHH beating them all and claiming HHH would do the same at Wrestlemania to Bryan over clips of HHH beating up Bryan from two weeks ago. This was fantastic. HHH said those guys were great, but they were just players in the game and he was The Game. He said he was The Game now more than ever and not only would be beat Bryan at Wrestlemania, he’d show the world he was the most powerful man in WWE by walking out as COO and WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Batista interrupted as HHH and Stephanie went to leave. His flat cap and basketball top over t-shirt look gets a thumbs up on the Batista fashion scales I think. Mixed reaction for Batista since they were in Washington D.C. Batista said he noticed he wasn’t in HHH’s video and that was because HHH had never beaten him. HHH suggested he should be getting ready for his match with Orton, but Batista said HHH should be focusing on Bryan instead of a title match he might not be in. He said he figured out last week that HHH was the brains and Stephanie was the brawn. Orton came out and asked Stephanie to wait if she was going to slap Batista so he could have a front row seat. He then asked Stephanie not to slap Batista because he wanted the opportunity to beat some respect into him later. Orton said a triple threat match at Wrestlemania was what was best for business and he’d be honoured to defend the titles against HHH, but asked him to reconsider. HHH said no amount of ass kissing would get Orton out of this and he made the match with Batista and Orton later no disqualification.

The Usos and Los Matadores d. The Real Americans and RybAxel (Diego pinned Swagger) in 10:51. After The Usos and Los Matadores made a strong start against RybAxel, Jey was cut off by Axel and The Real Americans finally got involved in the match. Jey fought everybody off and there were dives by Fernando on Cesaro and Jimmy on Ryback before Jey was cut off again. Jimmy ran wild and took out both of RybAxel with superkicks before a boot from Swagger. Cesaro went for the big swing on Diego but Fernando saved, sending Cesaro outside with a hurricanrana before Diego hit a springboard twisting senton to the outside on Cesaro. Swagger caught Fernando coming off the top rope in the ankle lock but Jey came in. Swagger hit Jey with a spinebuster but that allowed Los Matadores to pull Twin Magic and Diego caught Swagger with an inside cradle for the win. Fun match.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust d. Damien Sandow and Fandango (Goldust pinned Sandow) in 4:08. Fandango and Sandow worked on Cody. Goldust then made a comeback and pinned Sandow, after Cody hit a big dive on Fandango and Goldust hit the Final Cut on Sandow. The Shield cut a promo backstage. Rollins said he almost felt sorry for Kane and it didn’t matter who won the App vote, Kane was in a bad way. Ambrose said they were going to teach Kane and the Outlaws a lesson in attitude at Wrestlemania and Reigns said The Shield were not to be messed with.

Bray Wyatt d. R-Truth in 4:37 with the Sister Abigail in largely a squash. After the match, Rowan sent Xavier into a spinning clothesline from Harper. As the Wyatts posed, another person in a sheep mask appeared between Rowan and Harper which confused Bray. He then pulled the mask off and revealed it was Cena, taking out Harper and giving Rowan the AA, before Bray escaped an AA. That was a cool moment. Lumberjill Match: Naomi d. AJ in 4:03. The rest of the divas who were in the Wrestlemania match surrounded the ring and Vickie watched from the stage. The lumberjills stopped AJ from leaving early on. Nobody did the same when Naomi was outside which annoyed AJ. She threw Naomi back in herself, but then got thrown back in by Natalya and Emma. In the end AJ rolled outside as Naomi went for the split legged moonsault, then when Tamina tried to protect AJ everybody attacked them. AJ was thrown back inside and Naomi hit the Rear View for the win.

– Renee interviewed Cena. He said desperate times called for desperate measures and Bray had forced him to fight. He hyped up the match at Wrestlemania and ended by saying he’d stuff his foot in Bray’s ass. Kane d. Roman Reigns by DQ in 3:08. Reigns won the App vote with 80% over Rollins with 11% and Ambrose with 9%. Reigns powered out of the chokeslam and hit the apron dropkick, but as he set up the superman punch the Outlaws came out. Ambrose and Rollins attacked the Outlaws and Reigns hit the superman punch to Kane. The Shield then attacked Kane, causing the DQ, before the Outlaws saved Kane from the triple powerbomb.

– Roddy Piper hosted Piper’s Pit. He talked about main eventing Wrestlemania I and mentioned he didn’t get pinned. Piper said Andre The Giant played a huge role in making Wrestlemania the monster it was and started to discuss the Andre The Memorial Battle Royal. As he was about to say who he thought the favourite was, Miz interrupted, saying he was the odds on favourite. Miz pointed out that unlike Piper or Andre, he’d won the main event of Wrestlemania. Sheamus interrupted and insulted Miz, saying Miz had a Brogue Kick over the top rope in his future. Titus interrupted saying he’d win and was soon followed by Ziggler who said he’d steal the spotlight at Wrestlemania. Piper said he knew what was going on and he’d help them get started, before poking him in the eyes and sending him into Sheamus. Sure enough a fight broke out and Slater, Kofi, Jinder, Darren, Sin Cara, Drew and Ryder all got involved. Rey then ran out and fought off Ziggler and Sin Cara. Rey gave Sin Cara a hurricanrana off the top into the middle rope, Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick to Drew and Rey hit the 619 on Sin Cara into a Brogue Kick by Miz. Big Show came out and everyone went after him. Big Show fought them off and chokeslammed Darren, hit the KO punch to Slater and a double chokeslam to Ryder and Ziggler. Rey asked Big Show not to attack him, then hit a 619 to the stomach. Big Show caught Rey coming off the top and pressed him over the top onto everybody before Piper raised his hand.

No Disqualification Match: Randy Orton versus Batista had no winner after Daniel Bryan interfered. HHH and Stephanie both did commentary. Batista used a chair on Orton before Orton gave him a back suplex on the barrier and used the chair on Batista. Orton used a kendo stick but was sent into the steps. Batista hit a spinebuster and went for the Batista Bomb. Orton countered and hit a backbreaker. After Orton hit the second rope DDT, Bryan then attacked HHH at the announce table. Orton went after Bryan and sent him into the steps. Batista speared Orton before Bryan gave him a roundhouse kick and the running knee. Bryan then hit a dive on HHH and attacked him, hitting him with the kendo stick before taking out Orton. HHH retreated up the ramp and Bryan stood tall to end the show.

MAIN EVENT

Sheamus d. The Miz in 12:39. Sheamus was on top at the start and gave Miz a fallaway slam into the barrier. Miz eventually sent Sheamus into the post and hit a running boot to take over. Sheamus fought back but Miz escaped White Noise. Miz got a near fall with a kneeling DDT before softening up the knee and going for the figure four. Sheamus countered and went for the cloverleaf. Miz escaped and ducked the Brogue Kick, but Sheamus countered the Skull Crushing Finale and hit the ten forearms on the apron. Miz pulled Sheamus off the top rope and got the figure four but Sheamus made the ropes. And after kicking Miz off, Sheamus delivered the Brogue Kick to get the win.

– Renee interviewed The Bellas. Brie said she was prepared and Nikki said she’d been training hard in and out of the ring. They agreed there’d be a new champion at Wrestlemania. And Tamina Snuka d. Nikki Bella in 4:13. Tamina kicked Brie on the outside and beat Nikki with a superkick and a superfly splash. AJ celebrated with Tamina and hugged her after the match, with Tamina not seeming too impressed.

NXT

Emma d. Sasha Banks by submission in 3:51. Renee was on commentary for this. Sasha had Charlotte and Summer on a stick in her corner. Charlotte tried a distraction but got knocked off the apron accidentally by Sasha as she tried to roll Emma up from behind. Emma then got Sasha in the Emma Lock for the submission win and Emma got away as Charlotte tried to chase after her after the match. The Ascension d. Jack Hurley and John Vandal (Viktor pinned Vandal) in 1:56 in a squash, Viktor forcing a tag by throwing Hurley into Vandal and Vandal getting destroyed before they hit the Fall Of Man. Ascension are definitely getting better crowd reactions now.

Brodus Clay d. Xavier Woods in 3:13. Brodus dominated at the start. Xavier fought back but tweaked his ankle, leading to Brodus winning after a running headbutt, a powerbomb and a second rope splash. After the match, Brodus said WWE had taken his music, his girls, his tag team partner, his pride, his self respect and his dignity but from now on he was doing the taking. He said the first thing he was going to take was the NXT Championship from Adrian Neville and The Man Gravity Forgot would feel the gravitational pull of Brodus Clay. Devin then interviewed Neville backstage who said NXT was the future and they were just as good as anyone on Raw and Smackdown. He said on NXT people earned their opportunities and mentioned Bo, Seth and Big E as example before saying he was a fighting champion and if Brodus earned an opportunity, he’d be right here.

Tyler Breeze d. Yoshi Tatsu in 1:48 with the Beauty Shot. They played up through the match that he was more aggressive and less worried about his face. The commentators mentioned Sami suffered a concussion from the Corey Graves attack a few weeks ago but had been cleared to compete, before Devin interviewed Sami. Sami said he felt fine now and Graves was the only one who had something to worry about tonight. Backstage, Corey was then interviewed and he said this wasn’t going to be pretty.

– Paige was interviewed backstage about Charlotte. She said Charlotte wouldn’t let her have her moment at NXT Arrival and Charlotte needed to stop hiding behind her daddy and face her face to face, alone. In the main event, Corey Graves d. Sami Zayn by referee stoppage in 13:55. Graves stalled repeatedly to start and teased walking out, then tried to attack Sami when he went after him but Sami was ready for it. Sami hit a big dive and blocked being sent into the ring post, before Graves took over focusing on the head. The referee checked Sami at various points through the match. Sami fought back towards the end and got a near fall with a blue thunder bomb, before Graves blocked the Heluva kick. They then collided heads, after which Sami tried to hit a move off the middle rope but couldn’t get his balance. As the referee was checked to see if he could continue, Graves hit Sami with a punch. Graves then put on Lucky 13 and the referee stopped the match. Afterwards a doctor came down to check on Sami who was upset at the match being stopped.

SUPERSTARS

Heath Slater d. Kofi Kingston in 8:23. Slater avoided Trouble In Paradise early and Kofi faked 3MB out on a dive. Slater took control and got a near fall with a leaping side kick. Kofi made a comeback and set up for Trouble In Paradise but Drew distracted the referee. Kofi knocked Jinder off the apron, then knocked Drew off the apron with a Trouble In Paradise, but Slater caught Kofi with an implant DDT and got the surprise victory.

SMACKDOWN

– Lots of recaps and video packages on the show for Wrestlemania. Besides those, Dolph Ziggler d. Titus O’Neil in 4:04 after slipping out of Titus’s repeated backbreakers and hitting the Zig Zag. The Real Americans d. Los Matadores (Cesaro pinned Fernando) in 12:20. Zeb slapped Cesaro after The Real Americans made a rough start and Swagger had to calm them both down. It fired up Cesaro who took over with repeated uppercuts in the corner to Diego. The Real Americans worked over Diego from that point. Cesaro pulled Fernando off the apron to prevent a tag, before Fernando finally got the tag and made a comeback. But Cesaro got Fernando in the big swing and hit the Neutraliser for the pin. And Hogan came out to close the show, talking about some of his Wrestlemania moments and saying Wrestlemania 3 was the big one for him. He showed the trophy for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the big screen and said whoever won would link themselves with immortality if there were lucky enough to be the first ever winner of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, before asking whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania, the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and Wrestlemania ran wild.
