ECWA is flying forward towards the Spring! So it’s absolutely fitting the next show is dubbed ‘Spring Battle’… as in year’s past the event will set the tone for not only Super 8 season but the rest of the year for the entire company! The Heavyweight Championship in ECWA has been in almost constant turmoil since the reign of Sean Carr began last year. After winning it under questionable circumstances, Carr has disrespected almost everyone working for ECWA from wrestlers down to ring crew. And now he’s gone far overboard!
To Carr’s credit he has beaten every challenger so far put in front of him by ECWA management…. But recently it’s his rivalry with PCA member and Mid Atlantic Champion Azrieal that’s drawn huge interest and become almost a full blown war! He’s continually screwed over Az time and time again! So far, Carr has no showed a champion vs. champion match against him… ran out on another title defense… and all the while threatened to destroy ‘Big Red’ and undermine management, particularly ECWA booker Joe Zanolle and senior referee John Finegan.
However, in January at ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ Sean Carr finally stepped over the line for the last time! With a special stipulation added… if Carr were to win, he’d get 5 minutes alone with Finegan and Zanolle with no outside interference allowed by anyone… he took to facing Azrieal once again. It looked to be a fair and square fight with Azrieal gaining the upper hand just like every other match between the two.
But then a huge group of masked men entered the building from an outside door! Easily out numbering security and other officials, the man assaulted everyone at ringside… the PCA, Bob Artese, and referee Mike Kehner were all laid to waste. With it being no DQ, no one could do anything but watch. Than another masked man entered the ring… and he immediately assaulted Azrieal! With Kehner out of the equation a new referee then jumped in. It was Nathan Stevens, a young ref who had appeared at ECWA many times before… but he was obviously not on the up and up as he made a quick 3 count on Az!
The masked man was revealed to be none other than the ‘Heartkiller’ Chris Wylde!
Why would he do this? Why would he help Sean Carr win? Why would he sabotage the main event?
Despite all this, ECWA booker Joe Zanolle reached out to Chris Wylde to ask why but all he got was silence. Eventually a scathing Wylde released his statement via a you tube video. He was tired of being forgotten and not remembered for his loyalty to ECWA and it’s fans!
This throws a whole new wrench into the situation! It wasn’t enough Carr cheated his way to another victory… it wasn’t enough he brought a literal army to ECWA… and it wasn’t enough Azrieal once again didn’t a fair shake when it comes to the ECWA Heavyweight Championship.
But now one of the most popular stars in ECWA history is out for blood… the company’s blood! Chris Wylde is turning his back on everyone!
After this answer, Zanolle had no choice to make a main event to end it all. A main event to finally end this war… and a main event that will give everyone a much clearer picture of the companies future.
On Sunday March 12, ECWA management has made a TRIPLE THREAT MAIN EVENT!
It will be the ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr defending ‘Big Red’ against Azrieal… AND the ‘Heartkiller’ Chris Wylde!
Three of the biggest names in ECWA history battling it out for all the glory!
Zanolle has added a special stipulation to try to keep order… if ANYONE interferes on the behalf of any of the 3 men involved in the main event they are FIRED/BANNED IMMEDIATLELY! Meaning if any of Carr’s goons interfere he’s FIRED/BANNED, if the PCA gets involved Azrieal is FIRED/BANNED, or if anyone helps Chris Wylde he is FIRED/BANNED from the ECWA FOREVER! Whoever gets involved will also be FIRED/BANNED! No one is allowed at ringside!
And to help keep order, Zanolle’s found a special guest referee that will not be physically intimidated by any man in ECWA… none other than former ECWA Heavyweight Champion MATT SAIGON!
Yes, that’s correct. Matt Saigon will return to the ECWA and keep order in this match! There will be a winner!
This very well could be the biggest main event in ECWA history! Carr… Azrieal… Wylde… it’s time to settle the score once and for all!
With all the threats and promises will Carr get his goons involved once again despite the stipulation? Can he retain the Heavyweight Championship despite the odds?
Can Azrieal finally get his due and win the championship? Can he solidify the PCA’s dominance over the ECWA?
Is Chris Wylde trying to win ‘Big Red’ or is he here to merely make a bold statement?
And where does Matt Saigon fit into all of this? He claims to harbor no ill will towards any of the 3 men… but is that the truth?
We’ll find out soon enough! It’s time for WAR! It’s time to see who the best man in ECWA truly is!
