Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE and Sinclair Broadcast Group have recently discussed a potential buyout of Ring of Honor since January. They state that things have “slowly progressed” with the plan being a full takeover. They claim that it includes the weekly TV show airing on the WWE Network but that it doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone on the roster would continue with WWE.

[UPDATE]

The Wrestling Observer reported that a major part of the negotiations were a purchase of the ROH library that has tons of footage of current WWE talent. It stated that negotiations started in August for more than just the library. It also noted that it was unknown whether the plans would be to operate it in full or shut it down like the negotiations were for Impact Wrestling.
