Hello friends, no time for small talk so let’s get right into it. Here’s the results for the Best of the Super Juniors for May 23rd from the Tochigi City Athletic Park Gymnasium from Tochigi and May 25th from the Yoshitsune Arena in Ishikawa.

Marty Scurll vs. Taka Michinoku
Winner
: Marty Scurll at 8:51. Take submits to the chicken wing.

Will Ospreay vs. Jushin Thunder Liger
Winner
: Will Ospreay at 10:10. Ospreay wins with the OsCutter. With that loss, Liger is mathematically eliminated. Strange way to book a legend who’s making this his last BOSJ tournament. Did the same with Tenzan. I mean why not have someone like Taichi be the guy with no wins? Just a thought.

Taichi vs. Hiromu Takahashi
Winner
: Hiromu Takahashi at 14:13. Takahashi wins with the Timebomb in a pretty decent match. I take that back, Taichi is great, I’m glad Liger didn’t win any matches. Obvious sarcasm.

Dragon Lee vs. Ricochet
Winner
: Dragon Lee at 13:07. Lee stopped a top rope hurricanrana and put Ricochet in a tree of woe position and hit a double stomp for the win.

The following matches are from the May 25th show.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Tiger Mask
Winner
: Yoshinobu Kanemaru at 8:42. Kanemaru hits the Deep Impact after some interference from Taichi.

El Desperado vs. Volador Jr.
Winner
: Volador Jr. at 8:03. Desperado slammed the referees head into the mat as he was locked into an arm bar then tapped out. When Volador felt the tap out he let go but saw the ref was out. Desperado went outside to grab a chair, he swung it at Volador, missed, and Volador hit a superkick nailing the chair into Desperado’s face. Volador then hits a reverse-rana for the win.

Bushi vs. Ryusuke Tagushi
Winner
: Bushi at 9:25. Bushi hits the MX for his first win of the tournament.

ACH vs. Kushida
Winner
: ACH at 14:44. ACH wins with the Midnight Driver in a very good match.

Let’s take a look how everything is shaping up.

Block A Standings
Dragon Lee – 6
Marty Scurll – 6
Will Ospreay – 6
Ricochet – 4
Taichi – 4
Hiromu Takahashi – 4
Taka Michinoku – 2
Jushin Thunder Liger – 0

Block B Standings
El Desperado – 6
Yoshinobu Kanemaru – 6
Ryusuke Taguchi – 4
Tiger Mask – 4
ACH – 4
Volador Jr. – 4
Kushida – 2
Bushi -2

Nothing super eventful this round. Desperado suffered his first loss and unfortunately Liger is out. If I had to guess at this point I would say the finals would be Marty Scurll vs. ACH but it’s hard to pick against Dragon Lee the way he has looked so far. I also wouldn’t rule out El Desperado in the B Block.
