Hello friends. Apologies for the half results from yesterday. I took a food break after the first 2 matches, finished the last 3 and somehow it only posted where I stopped from the food break, go figure. Naito vs. Yoshi-Hashi was really good, Ibushi vs. Sabre Jr. was great and featured nothing but submissions and strikes, and Fale vs. Tanahashi ended via countout when Tanahashi hit a Slingblade from the apron. So that’s the just of it.

The A Block Standings are as followed:

Hirooki Goto – 4
Tetsuya Naito – 4
Bad Luck Fale – 2
Kota Ibushi – 2
Tomohiro Ishii – 2
Zack Sabre Jr. – 2
Hiroshi Tanahashi – 2
Yoshi-Hashi – 2
Togi Makabe – 0
Yuji Nagata – 0

I was hoping to recap the show today but it hasn’t been uploaded yet and I’ll be busy the rest of the day and don’t want to fall behind so here’s the results.

Today’s show is from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Gedo, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hirooki Goto vs. David Finlay, Kota Ibushi, and Togi Makabe

Winners: Finlay, Ibushi, and Makabe at 7:06. Finlay hits Prima Nocta on Gedo.

El Desperado and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Jado and Yoshi-Hashi

Winners: Suzuki-gun at 7:35. Desperado hits Jado with the Pinche Loco.

Tomoyuki Oka and Yuji Nagata vs. Katsuya Kitamura and Hiroshi Tanahahsi

Winners: Nagata and Oka at 8:58. Nagata hit Kitamura with the Backdrop Hold.

Hiromu Takahashi, Bushi, and Tetsuya Naito vs. Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi, and Bad Luck Fale

Winners: Los Ingobernables de Japon at 7:33. Naito hits Chase Owens with a Jackknife. Apparently Bad Luck Fale destroyed Daryl, Takahashi’s stuffed cat, and is now the top heel in New Japan. If you’re wondering, Takahashi was devastated and Naito seemed unmoved.

Toru Yano 0 vs. Satoshi Kojima 0

Winner: Toru Yano at 9:12 via schoolboy.

Evil 0 vs. Juice Robinson 2

Winner: Evil at 11:46 with the STO.

Minoru Suzuki 0 vs. Sanada 2

Winner: Minoru Suzuki at 11:22 with the Gotch-style Piledriver. I was disappointed to hear this match wasn’t that great when initially I thought it had potential to be really good. But the finishing sequence of Skull End/Sleeper hold reversals was said to be really good.

Tama Tonga 2 vs. Kenny Omega 2

Winner: Kenny Omega at 11:42 with the One Winged Angel. After the match the two men buried the hatchet and gave each other the too sweet.

Michael Elgin 0 vs. Kazuchika Okada 2

Winner: Kazuchika Okada at 25:49. Okada won with the Rainmaker and I was told this was a great match.

Block B Standings

Kazuchika Okada – 4
Kenny Omega – 4
Evil – 2
Juice Robinson – 2
Sanada – 2
Minoru Suzuki – 2
Tama Tonga – 2
Toru Yano – 2
Michael Elgin – 0
Satoshi Kojima – 0

Hopefully New Japan World will have tomorrow’s show updated on time but here’s what is on the schedule regardless: Makabe vs. Goto, Ibushi vs. Ishii, Naito vs. Fale, Tanahashi vs. Nagata, and Yoshi-Hashi vs. Sabre Jr.

Normally, this is the part of the review where I say follow me on Twitter at Eddyc85 and or PIWShow and say check out my podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, and Podbean, “Politically Incorrect Wrestling Show” but instead I’m going to shout out my friend Riddle who can be found on twitter at DudezWithTudez or his podcast, “Mundane Nights” on iTunes for helping me with the review since he woke up super early to watch it live and I, well didn’t. Thanks for reading.
