This is the first ever event from Black Label Pro, and that didn’t stop the Indiana promotion to bring in guys like Matt Riddle, Ethan Page and Keith Lee. Not only did they bring in the current top names in independent wrestling but also bought in WCW and ECW legends Ernest “The Cat” Miller and the Sandman. Plus where else can you see Darby Allin take on Super Crazy. Great effort from this promotion’s first show. Looking forward to seeing more from this promotion in the future.

With Americanrana being Beyond Wrestling’s biggest show of the calendar year, Beyond outdid themselves for the 5th annual event. Two of the top tag teams in the world today go head-to-head as EYFBO take on the Lucha Bros., Chuck Taylor takes on Swoggle in a must see TLC match, and Joey Janela faces the undefeated Matt Riddle. This is the best Beyond Wrestling event of 2017 (so far), if not ever.

By having a great Tennessee crowd, along with great matches, the Scenic City Invitation Tournament is one of my favorite shows of the year. SCI does a great job at bringing in future stars such as Joey Lynch, Curt Stallion and Jason Cade, and putting them in the ring with top independent wrestlers such as Matt Riddle and Joey Janela. Along with those talents, you get to see the legend, Tank in his final pro wrestling match. I’m kinda cheating because the two night tournament is technically two shows but you can’t watch one without the other. Scenic City Invitation Tournament 2017 Night 1 and 2 are both must watch for any independent wrestling fan. Spoiler alert: match list gives away results.

Break the Barrier was streamed worldwide for the very first time live on Powerbomb.TV. The grand opening of Powerbomb.TV had showcase matches from various independent wrestling promotions, which can be seen on the monthly subscription service. The event had various styles including authentic lucha libre and two of the best comedic wrestlers facing eachother for the first time ever. It was a successful grand opening to say the least.

Also taking place on June 11th, Tier 1 Wrestling’s BROoklyn originally had Matt Riddle booked to face Homicide (hense the name BROoklyn) but due to a case of pink eye, Riddle had to cancel. This setback barely hurt the show as JT Dunn stepped up to face the Notorious 187. This stacked card also includes Darius Carter defending his Tier 1 Wrestling World Championship against ACH and a first time ever dream match between Penta el 0M and Brooklyn’s own Low Ki. With a hot Brooklyn crowd (literally because there was no AC) and the top talent in the North East, this Tier 1 Wrestling show is worth checking out.
