PROGRESS CHAPTER 62: FEAR NO MORE, COME TO DUST
January 28th, Electric Ballroom, Camden, London, England

PRE-SHOW MATCH: Never Say Die (Alex Cupid & Dillon D’Angelo) b. Team WhiteWolf (A-Kid & Adam Chase)

NATURAL PROGRESSION SERIES 5 QUARTER FINAL: Chris Ridgeway b. Omari

– Good solid technical match, with Omari looking impressive in defeat. Ridgeway is suited to the PROGRESS style.

Roy Johnson b. William Eaver

– Eaver landed face first on a dive, and got a huge bump on his forehead, which affected the rest of the match.

THREE WAY MATCH: Zack Sabre Jr. b. Chris Brookes and Trent Seven

– Seven claimed he was in a rush to win the match so he could catch his flight to Philadelphia to be in the Royal Rumble Match. The match lasted longer than he planned, and he missed his flight (all played for comedy).

PROGRESS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Travis Banks (c) b. TK Cooper

– Chris Brookes stopped Cooper from using the championship belt on Banks in revenge for Cooper getting involved in the Chapter 61 title match, leading to Banks retaining. The three men then got into a three-way brawl after the match.

PROGRESS WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Toni Storm (c) b. Chakara (w/Jinny)

– Chakara replaced the injured Millie McKenzie, who was replacing the injured Jinny. After the match, Jinny attacked Storm, and was joined by both Chakara and Nina Samuels in the attack.

Jimmy Havoc & Mark Haskins (w/Vicky Haskins) b. Danny Jones & Mark Andrews

– Eddie Dennis appeared, and accused Andrews of finding another Welsh tag team partner to replace him, and told Jones that Andrews was using him like he used Dennis. Following the match, Dennis mocked Andrews for losing from his commentary desk.

Morgan Webster b. Doug Williams

– Vicky Haskins came out to distract Williams, leading to Webster scoring his first win in PROGRESS for several months, though he claimed not to know about Haskins’ involvement.

PROGRESS ATLAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: WALTER (c) b. Timothy Thatcher

– One of PROGRESS’ most brutal and physical matches, WALTER chopped Thatcher so hard that his chest was bleeding. Despite being teammates in Ringkampf, they laid into each other really hard, and Thatcher displayed incredible fighting spirit to withstand WALTER’s punishment. A must-watch match.
