Matt Lott is in the studio yet again, and recaps Gunner Miller’s White Belt win last week. Lott hypes up Wheeler Yuta as the next challenger, and gives a little of his backstory ahead of the video package.

Wheeler Yuta is only 21 years old, and has traveled across the world for wrestling. One of his main goals has been to make it into ROH, so winning this tournament would already make him a contender for one of their titles. Gunner Miller then talks about last week, and says how he could’ve won last week, but instead he knocked him out. He can knock out anyone whenever he wants to. Yuta calls the match an embarrassment, and we cut to a video of these two getting into it in a gym backstage. Nice little touch there.

Dojo Pro White Belt: Gunner Miller (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta

This was easily the best match of the series so far, and one of the better 10 minute matches you’ll find anywhere. The crowd was behind Yuta the entire way, and wanted to see Gunner lose so badly. Things started off hot, and ended even better. Gunner hit Yuta with a huge spear when Yuta went for the Elbow Drop, but couldn’t finish the job. He got cocky after hitting a Jackhammer, decided not to pin, and Yuta got out of the way of the lariat and connected with a superkick, followed by the Diving Elbow to pick up the win. Great stuff here, with an amazing crowd and perfect story told throughout. Even if the announcer seemed to be calling Yuta “Utah” at times, it was still a great match.

Winner: Wheeler Yuta

Match Rating: ***1/2

Rob Johnston is in the ring with Wheeler Yuta after his big victory. Yuta said he needed to find Gunner’s one flaw, and that was his arrogance. Never count Wheeler Yuta out, and Yuta believes he can run the gauntlet. He will face Corey Hollis next week.

Final Thoughts:

Two white belt defenses, two white belt title changes. Dojo Pro has done a great job proving that anything can happen on the series, but I really hope it isn’t just hot potato the entire road. I’m sure it won’t be, because Dojo Pro knows they could have a great title run with anyone, and it could start here with Wheeler Yuta. The crowd (as little as it may be) adds a ton to the matches, as they have gotten behind wrestlers like Ku and Yuta to give them that extra boost, and make the product even more enjoyable. No Jeff Cobb again this week, as you wonder if any other wrestlers could be appearing at the end of these episodes soon. Overall, this was easily the best episode of the series so far, and this is the easiest 20 minute show you’ll ever sit through.

Final Rating: 7.5/10
