It was announced earlier this week that over the course of the next 5 months, IndependentWrestling.TV will live stream at least 50 events. Out of the 50 events comes Beyond Wrestling’s new weekly live show named “Uncharted Territory.” The series premiere is on Wednesday April 3rd and will live stream every Wednesday from Worcester, Massachusetts. But before that even happens there’s a Treasure Hunt Tournament to crown a number one contender to the Independent Wrestling Championship, which is currently held by Orange Cassidy.

The one night tournament takes place this Sunday February 24, at the Varnum Memorial Armory in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Eight of the top independent wrestlers (male and female) will compete. There are five announced matches for the event, four first round tournament matches and one non-tournament match. The event will be taped for VOD for IndepentWrestling.TV, so the only way to see it live would be to attend the event. You can purchase tickets HERE.

Wheeler YUTA vs. Jordynne Grace

This match features both 2017 Tournament For Tomorrow winners squaring off. Both wrestlers also came up short in their Independent Wrestling Championship title matches against then champion, “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams. Each person looks to redeem themselves at another shot at the title.

Wheeler YUTA looks to get some momentum going and add Jordynne Grace to his list of big victories in Beyond, which includes the likes of Jaka, Matt Riddle and Jonathan Gresham. To earn the victory, YUTA will have to use his speed and submission skills to counter Grace’s size and strength. Defending Grace won’t be an easy feat, and if YUTA is not on his game, it would be a walk in the park for the current Progress Women’s Champion.

Jordynne Grace has been in the ring with some of the toughest guys to step foot in a Beyond Wrestling ring. From Brian Cage to Chris Dickinson to John Silver. It might not be a question of whether or not Grace wins, but what move does she win with?

Prediction: Jordynne Grace

David Starr vs. Kris Statlander

The self proclaimed “Ace of Beyond Wrestling” David Starr looks to redeem himself, while the new comer Kris Statlander looks to stay undefeated in Beyond. After defeating Joey Janela in a no ropes barbed wire match, Starr hit a low in Beyond Wrestling. He lost his opportunity to challenge for the Independent Wrestling Championship, in a 2018 match of the year contender against Orange Cassidy. Then lost to Chris Dickinson at Heavy Lies the Crown in under 15 seconds. Statlander on the other hand, is on a winning streak.

The 23 year old Create A Pro graduate made her Beyond Wrestling debut at “Please Come Back” against John Silver. She made quite the impression that she did indeed, come back. She went on to defeat the 17 year veteran Matt Cross and fellow Create A Pro graduate MJF.

While Starr is going into this match with more experience, Statlander might have the rookie advantage. She is still relatively unknown and there’s far more David Starr matches online to study than his opponent has. Can David Starr bounce back from an embarrassing end of 2018 in Beyond Wrestling, or will the “Galaxy’s Greatest Alien” continue to create buzz in the year 2019?

Prediction: Kris Statlander

Josh Briggs vs. Solo Darling

After Americanrana ’18, Josh Briggs stated that he would either die or get signed before he loses another match in Beyond. Since then he’s been on a winning streak, defeating the likes of Ryan Galeone, Curt Stallion, Luchasaurus, and Nick Gage in a Fans Bring the Weapons Match.

As for Solo Darling, she might be taller than a stack of pancakes and leaner than a pint of ice cream, but she has a clear size disadvantage over the 6′ 8″ Briggs. Darling will have to work a leg to take the big man down. Could we see Briggs tap to the Sharp Stinger, Darling’s version of the Texas Cloverleaf, or continue on his winning ways and capture the Independent Wrestling Championship?

Prediction: Josh Briggs

Chris Dickinson vs. Willow Nightingale

Chris Dickinson has been the unsung hero in Beyond Wrestling for quite some time now. Dickinson has been with Beyond since the beginning, which is 10 years now. He defeated the “Ace of Beyond” David Starr in seconds at Heavy Lies The Crown back in December. That clearly makes him the Ace, right?

Willow Nightingale hasn’t had many matches in Beyond but is a regular with their sister promotion, Women’s Wrestling Revolution. To advance to the second round, she’s gonna have to get through Dickinson, who is no stranger to intergender wrestling. Will the bird be able to defeat the Beyond Wrestling veteran?

Prediction: Chris Dickinson

Lisa Marie Varon FKA Victoria vs. Anthony Greene

In non-tournament action, “Retro Sexual” Anthony Greene will take on the former WWE Women’s Champion and TNA Impact Knockouts Champion Lisa Marie Varon, formally known as Victoria. Earlier this year, Varon annouced that 2019 will be her final year as a wrestler. It will be the retirement tour vs. the RETRObution tour. You would have to think that the Platinum Hunnies will be in attendance and somehow get involved. Advantage: Greene.

Prediction: Anthony Greene

You can watch the Treasure Hunt Tournament once it’s on VOD along with other Beyond Wrestling shows on IndependentWrestling.TV. The  Uncharted Territory Series Premiere is on April 3rd at 8pm Eastern. The premiere episode will feature Japanese wrestling legend Masato Tanaka.
