There’s plenty to choose from including matches from promotions such as AAW, Beyond Wrestling, Evolve and more. AAW Defining Moment 2017: Cody vs. DJZ
Before Cody was challenging for the World Championship in AEW, he was wrestling in independent promotions across the globe. At the time Cody was Ring of Honor World Champion, facing DJZ, now known as Joaquin Wilde in WWE. Watch this AAW throwback match taking place in the Berwyn Eagles Club, a venue AAW no longer runs at.
Beyond Wrestling It’s Alive: Nick Gage vs. G-Raver (50,000 Thumbtacks Match)
This year on Halloween, Nick Gage and Mance Warner had a 100,000 Thumbtack Match on Uncharted Territory. Last year on Halloween, Nick Gage squared off against G-Raver in a 50,000 Thumbtack Match on Beyond Wrestling’s “It’s Alive.” There might not be as much thumbtacks as this year’s match, but it’s just as brutal.
Beyond Wrestling Heavy Lies The Crown: Beaver Boys vs. The Bird and The Bee
Women’s Wrestling Revolution held Tournament For Tomorrow 2018 on December 30, 2018. The tournament had eight women tag teams in which the tournament winners would go on to face the Beaver Boys the following night at Heavy Lies The Crown. The Bird and the Bee, Solo Darling and Willow Nightingale, defeated The Twisted Sisters in the finals earning them the spot on the New Year’s card Heavy Lies The Crown. Check out this match.
Beyond Wrestling Uncharted Territory Season 1 Episode 15: Kris Statlander and Leyla Hirsch vs. Skylar and Davienne
On Beyond Wrestling’s weekly show, Uncharted Territory Season One Episode 15, Kris Statlander opened up the show with an announcement. She was interrupted by the Top Dogs, Skylar and Davienne. Leyla Hirsch came to Statlander’s aid and the main event of that night’s episode was set, Statlander and Hirsch vs. Sylar and Davienne. Bizarro Lucha A Beautiful Enemy: Shotzi Blackheart vs. Ace Perry
Recently these two battled in a 2 out of 3 falls match at Bizarro Lucha’s “Bizarro Gaga,” but back in March, Shotzi Blackheart and Ace Perry faced eachother at Bizarro Lucha’s “A Beautiful Enemy.” Watch this match and then go to IWTV and watch their incredible match from October 13th, which was Shotzi’s last match for the promotion.
Evolve 32: Matt Sydal vs. Ricochet
Before Matt Sydal’s return to Evolve this past weekend for Evolve 139 and 140, Sydal had a very brief stint with the promotion back in 2014. At Evolve 32 Ricochet put his DGUSA Open The Freedom Gate Championship on the line against the man formerly known as Evan Bourne in his return to the independent scene. Check out this match between two of the best high flyers in the world.
GO Pro Wrestling GO Big Or GO Home: Killer Kross vs. Anthony Henry
In their debut show, GO Pro Wrestling put on a stacked card including the last independent appearances of AEW superstars Private Party, Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian. Also on the card was this hard hitting battle between Killer Kross and Anthony Henry. I suggest watching the full show, which is on their YouTube channel for absolutely FREE!
Women’s Wrestling Revolution WWR vs. The World: Thunder Rosa vs. Harlow O’Hara
On October 28th Women’s Wrestling Revolution held “WWR VS The World.” This was Harlow O’Hara’s second match with the promotion and Thunder Rosa’s first singles match in WWR. This is another event I would suggest watching in full on IWTV.
