Moxley opens the show
Summary:
Moxley gets on the mic and rips into Jericho for his past calling him a bully and a cheater. Moxley demands Jericho come out and after mocking Moxley gets the crowd excited for a match before telling them off. The inner-circle comes out and after some back and forth five more men come out to back them up. Ortiz leads the pack and gets a paradigm shift before Moxley runs up the ramp and it turns into a full out brawl with security and referees trying to break it up. Moxely hits a security guard with a paradigm shift and then leaves.
Critique:
Moxley and Jericho are both masters of the mic in this segment. Moxley is a reluctant face and doesn’t try to play the good guy and he knows his way of fighting will get him beat but there’s a warrior like aura to him because of it. Jericho plays a great cowardly heel, insulting the fans, bringing out the inner circle and then bringing out back up.

Takeaway:
The title match will not be simple. Jericho will use every dirty trick he possibly can while Moxley will not go down easily. Expect interference and false finishes at Revolution.
Young Bucks Def. The Butcher, The Blade & The Bunny
Summary:
The Young Bucks dominate the match until The Bunny pulls Nick Jackson off the apron and The Butcher hits him with a crossbody. Blade then dives over the top ropes onto Matt Jackson and The Butcher and The Blade is in full control. Nick starts to battle back and makes it to Matt, Matt takes over and starts pounding The Blade and kicking The Butcher outside the ring. After some back and forth the Young Bucks gain control hit The Butcher with the Meltzer driver and score the win. A post-match assault is interrupted by Kenny Omega and Adam Page.
Critique:
The Young Bucks and The Butcher and The Blade perform some great doubles maneuvers. Matt and Nick Jackson’s opening tag in and tag out is fun to watch and show’s how in tune the brothers are. The Butcher has some impressive strength. Though not an impressive match still a solid one.

MJF has lost his focus on Cody and is now targeting The Youngbucks or is he targeting The Elite?
Despite being distant Adam Page did come to the aid of The Young Bucks, maybe he’s not a lost cause just yet.
Nyla Rose DEF. Big Swole
Summary:
Big Swole starts the match by sticking and moving but after a failed pin attempt Nyla Rose gains control and assaults her outside. back in the ring, Big Swole makes a comeback and gains control. With Nyla in the corner Swole goes for an elbow but is greeted by a spear after a sitdown powerbomb Rose scores the victory.
Critique:
Big Swole is definitely the star of the match. Swole is athletic using speed to gain the advantage over Rose as well as some creative choices in terms of moves. Nyla Rose is meant to be booked like a beast but this match didn’t make her feel like that with Swole controlling most of it. Hopefully Big Swole will be moving up in the roster soon.

If Nyla Rose is meant to be this great destroyer how come she didn’t put Swole who posed a threat through a table?
Cody DEF. Kip Sabian
Summary:
Kip Sabian opens the match by trying to take control but Cody gains the advantage. Kip spends most of the match going to the outside or trying to trick the officials to win. Eventually, Arn Anderson is ejected after calling out Penelope Ford’s interference. With Cody at the mercy of Ford and Sabian the two decide to kiss to celebrate but are interrupted by Joey Janela. Getting control of the match Cody and Kip battle back and forth till Cody applies three crossrhodes and scores the victory.
Critique:
Arn Anderson playing a dumb face is embarrassing. With what Cody has been doing to handle MJF I was hoping they would be smarter. The constant interference in the match partnered with the stop-start pace made this a difficult watch. Managers and valets are okay but if they’re not performing they shouldn’t take over the match.

MJF may still be able to use heel tactics against Cody after all.
SCU DEF. TH2
Summary:
SCU starts off strong but TH2 gains the advantage thanks to the ref getting distracted. TH2 dominates the rest of the match using a variety of tricks behind the refs back. This changes When Scorpio Sky pulls off a suplex and is able to tag out. Back in control SCU take out Jack Evans and hits Angelico with the SCU-later for the victory.
Critique:
One of the better matches of the night. SCU and TH2 put on a clinic in face and heel tag teams, with SCU showing some impressive doubles maneuvers and TH2 working as a team to cheat and using Frankie Kazarian to distract the ref.

Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Santana & Ortiz) DEF. Private Party & Darby Allin
Summary:
Darby and Jericho start the match off with a slap contest but when Darby proves to be too much for the champion Jericho tags out so does Darby. Ortiz and Marq Quen take over and what follows is a series of tag in-tag out between the inner circle and private party. Isiah Kassidy tags Darby Allin in and Darby goes to town attacking The Inner Circle. After both sides brawl in the ring it’s down to Jericho and Isiah with Jericho picking up the win.
Post-match Jericho and The Inner Circle take turns beating down Darby Allin until Jon Moxley comes out with a baseball bat.
Critique:
This match was really Santana & Ortiz Vs. Private Party with Darby and Jericho added-in. Both teams are solid tag teams and are the heart and soul of this match. Private Party are the clear stars of this match with some amazing reversals and doubles. The ending is probably one of the bigger weak points of the match, Isiah performs a Senton but Jericho kicks out, while Jericho performs a back elbow and gets the three count.
