CZW vs SMASH review

I finally got around to catching this on www.czwstudios.com and I had a mixed reaction. This show took the place of CZW’s monthly show in The Flyers Skate Zone. The card looked interesting with some CZW regulars, and some popular names on the indies (Gargano, Super Smash Bros.), so I went in not knowing what to expect, What I left with was mixed feelings thinking for CZW’s first trip to SMASH, it didn’t completely deliver in my opinion.   Gulak vs Tarik Both Fourth Gun members were booked to wrestle each…

CZW Down With The Sickness 2015 Review

Voorhees, NJ 09/12/15- I went into this show tonight not knowing really where CZW was headed, as probably were most fans. The sudden loss of Nick Gage to personal issues, just a week ago, and the news of Biff Busick being signed by “They who shall not be named”, cast a cloud of uncertainty over the crowd waiting to get into the Flyers’ Skate Zone, for Down With The Sickness.  The fans would ultimately be left with a good feeling as one of CZW’s most popular stars would return, and a…

August 8 –   After the mixed reaction to CZW New Heights in Philly last month, Combat Zone Wrestling returned to the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey for Retribution. CZW New Heights Review – New Champs!

July 11, 2015- Philadelphia ,PA– CZW returned to their former home Saturday in South Philadelphia at the former ECW arena , now known as the 2300 arena. I was in attendance for what turned out to be an interesting show with both good and bad. So let’s get to the show. Milk Chocolate opened up the show with another terrible attempt at singing some horrible love/pop song while people were still finding their seats or booing. Thankfully DJ Hyde’s music hit and he came out wearing a new hooded…

June 13, Townsend ,Delaware- For those who made the trip down to the Ultraviolent Underground and braved the afternoon heat, they were treated to the best of deathmatch wrestling today and a look at the future of deathmatch wrestling. You can purchase this event HERE The afternoon started off with Dj Hyde asking for everyone to rise and a…

CZW “To Infinity” Review

I don’t believe I’ve ever reviewed a CZW show before. Granted, I am familiar with CZW and follow results, making sure to watch “Best of the Best” and “Cage of Death” every year, but since this particular event has been tied into the past couple of Beyond Wrestling shows at Fete Music, and it had some interesting matches to boot, I figured why not throw this show into the queue? Perhaps it will have implications on future Beyond events. Of course, it only makes sense to open your debut in…

CZW To Live is To Die Review

This show took place on 1/10/15 at the Flyers’ Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey. Match 1: “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Alex Colon They should make Bailey a centerpiece as soon as possible. Colon hasn’t had much steam since losing the Wired Title. Bailey is defending the injured Preacher in this match. The crowd is totally behind Bailey, who is perhaps the most exciting wrestler in CZW right now. Colon is meant to come off as dangerous, attacking Bailey’s back and neck. But Bailey’s impressive aerial arsenal ended up winning…
