After a short hiatus, we are back with this month’s edition of five shows you should watch on IWTV. In the first part of September’s edition I’m taking a look at shows from the top promotions such as Beyond Wrestling and GCW, along with some promotions you may not be familiar with.

Paradigm Pro Wrestling ended July with a tournament to crown the first ever PPW Heavy Hitters Champion. Every match was either a street fight or contested under UWFI rules. The one night tournament including some heavy hitters in the independent wrestling scene such as AJ Gray, Erick Stevens, Chris Dickinson, Matthew Justice and even UFC legend Stephan Bonnar. There’s some really crazy matches on this show so make sure you check it out.

2) Beyond Wrestling: Two Weeks Notice

In Beyond Wrestling’s first event back in nearly 5 months, they joined forces with GCW for a double header on the Atlantic City boardwalk. The matinee show featured a lot of young talents that are the future in the business. This show saw the Beyond Wrestling debuts of Injustice, Lee Moriarty and Blake Christian. At an hour and 40 minutes, this show is a breeze to watch.

3) St. Louis Anarchy: Spirit of Spaulding Block A Event 1

St. Louis Anarchy’s G1 style tournament kicks off with the first event from Block A. This show is a great return for St. Louis Anarchy. Bstrd Cassidy is a replacement for an injured Davey Vega and ends up putting on a great performace. Block A also features some favorites such as Gary Jay, Billie Starkz and Cole Raderick. Thomas Shire vs Fred Yehi in the main event is a straight banger. Make sure to watch this and all future Spirit of Spaulding shows from St. Louis Anarchy.

4) On Point Wrestling: Heart Over Hype

A promotion that rarely gets mentioned when talking about the New Jersey independent wrestling scene or the independent wrestling scene in general is On Point Wrestling. Akira may have broke out after his deathmatch performances in ICW No Holds Barred, but on this event he is taking on one of the top names in indie wrestling, Tony Deppen. The show also includes talents such as Matt Tremont, Calvin Tankman and Jordan Oliver, just to name a few. On top of all that, Nick Gage defends his OPW Championship against Reed Bentley in a Light Tube Deathmatch. Check this one out.

5) GCW: Jimmy All The Way

GCW’s last show of 2019 took place the day after Christmas at the Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia. A venue that has been home for GCW even at the start of the pandemic. Treehouse Lee makes his GCW debut in the insane scramble match. While Treehouse Lee is making his debut, Dan Maff is saying goodbye in his final match for GCW. As all shows from GCW, this one is a must watch.
