This Sunday September 20th, Beyond Wrestling returns with a live stream of “Shangri-La Magistral.” The show is set to highlight talent that haven’t performed for Beyond Wrestling since the pandemic hit the United States back in March. The plan was to have all 20 featured wrestlers on the show be talent that had not worked in Beyond since in the pandemic, but due to a few last minute lineup changes, Beyond had to bring in some heavy hitters.

Although Beyond’s two previous shows during the pandemic took place in front of live crowds, this show will take place live from a secret location and not in front of a live audience of fans. The only way to see this show would be to tune into IWTV on Sunday September 20, 2020 at 1PM EDT. If you haven’t subscribed to IWTV yet, new subscribers can use promo code PWP to receive 5 days absolutely FREE.

1) Chris Dickinson vs. Matt Makowski

A match that was originally Matt Makowski facing Daniel Garcia, Chris Dickinson stepped in as a last minute replacement for Garcia. Makowski hasn’t been inside a Beyond Wrestling ring since Uncharted Territory Season 2, where he went on a brief winning streak in the Discovery Gauntlet. At Shangri-La Magistral he squares off against the gatekeeper of Beyond Wrestling, Chris Dickinson. Anyone that is looking to make a name for themselves in Beyond has to go through Dickinson. Can Makowski do just that this Sunday against the “Dirty Daddy?”

2) Richard Holliday vs. Bullet Joe

Richard Holliday became a big part of Beyond Wrestling once he joined up with Cam Zagami as a part of Club Cam, but his biggest success in Beyond has been in singles competition. A finalist in the Pride of New England Tournament as well as the first, and only, BCW Champion. This Sunday he is opposite the ring from the relatively unknown Bullet Joe. Joe has only appearanced in Beyond on the season finale of Uncharted Territory Season One. This could be an advantage going into his match with Holliday, as there’s not much tape for his opponent on study on him.

3) Aaron Rourke vs. Robo The Punjabi Lion

Coming out of the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy, Aaron Rourke is set on making a name for himself once again, this time against Robo The Punjabi Lion. Rourke went on a winning streak in the Discovery Gauntlet before losing in quick fashion to Slade. Robo, on the other hand, is looking to gain some momentum in Beyond. He made it to the finals of the BCW Championship Tournament back in March but he has yet to pick up any significant victories. Will Sunday be the day that Robo gets on his winning ways or will Rourke be the one to play spoiler?

4) The REP (Nate Carter and Dave McCall) vs. Milk Chocolate (Brandon Watts and Randy Summers)

Milk Chocolate’s time in Beyond Wrestling dates back to 2014. Since then they have shared the ring with EYFBO, Da Hoodz, The Butcher and The Blade, and Team Pazuzu, just to name a few. Although they’re not usually on the winning end (sorry guys, I still love you), they see themselves as the Aces of Beyond Wrestling. They look to spoil the return of The REP. After a well received performance at Beyond Wrestling’s “Please Come Back” against Bear Country, The REP are taking this opportunity so that they can become a permanent part of the Beyond Wrestling roster. This should be a good one.

5) To Infinity and Beyond (Colin Delaney and Cheech) vs. Mike Verna and Rex Lawless

At Shangri-La Magistral, the team of Colin Delaney and Cheech, To Infinity and Beyond, make their return to a Beyond Wrestling ring. Their first two appearances didn’t go as planned, losing to Bear Country in Season One of Uncharted Territory and Team Sea Stars in Season Two. This time they’re looking to continue the momentum that recently won them the AIW Tag Team Championships. As for Mike Verna and Rex Lawless, their time in Beyond as a tag team dates back to being a part of The Amityville Project stable. Since 2018 they have only picked up one victory as a team. With both teams desperate for a victory, this could call for a great match.

6) VSK vs. Jay Freddie

Both VSK and Jay Freddie have wrestled for Beyond since 2014. Both men also haven’t been inside a Beyond ring since March’s “Beyond Championship Wrestling” show. Come this Sunday, VSK is going it alone, without his partners in Whatever It Takes, Alex Reynolds and Smart Mark Sterling by his side. VSK is going to have to prove he can get the job done solo against Jay Freddie.

7) The Bird and The Bee (Willow Nightingale and Solo Darling) vs. Nouveau Aesthetic (BLANK and Still Life With Apricots and Pears)

In another last minute change, Nouveau Aesthetic consisting of BLANK and Still Life With Apricots and Pears were set to face off against Buffalo’s Megabyte Ronnie and Puf. It was announced that Nouveau Aesthetic’s new opponents would be The Bird and The Bee. Although Solo Darling and Willow Nightingale have been active competitors in Beyond during the pandemic, they haven’t teamed together in Beyond since November. As for Nouveau Aesthetic, they may only have one match together as a team in Beyond, but they have experience together as a tag team. Even though these two teams have faced each other before, you have to wonder if the last minute change in the match is an advantage to either team.
