Deathmatch Star Markus Crane Passes Away at 33

The indie wrestling world mourns today as news emerged that Deathmatch Wrestler Markus Crane passed away at the age of 33. According to accounts, while no official cause of death has been confirmed, Crane passed away in his sleep overnight. In his time in wrestling, Markus held championships in No Peace Underground and Unsanctioned Pro; as well as touring Japan with GCW. Crane, who was en route to a comeback after surgery to his skull, will be remembered for his in ring performances, as well as his personality outside of the ring.

I was supposed to wrestle Alex Colon at GCW, but he got caught in a snow storm and couldn’t make it.

I ended up wrestling Markus instead, in probably one of my favorite matches ever. I think about it all the time. I’ll always cherish it.
