Yesterday Jordan Oliver tweeted out a video of Nick Gage working out at the gym. The video with the caption “Rebuilding the King Everyday” showed the former GCW World Champion, who looked to be in good shape, doing Kettlebell Lunges and squats. Could we expect a Nick Gage return to the ring in the near future?
Gage last competed inside a wrestling ring at FWF Live 3 against JGeorge but last seen in a GCW ring during The Collective in Dallas, Texas. That evening at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6 Part 1, Gage lost the GCW Tag Team Championships to The Briscoes in a three way match that also involved Second Gear Crew.
Gage has been dealing with injuries since last year. In an interview we did with GCW owner Brett Lauderdale he mentioned that Gage was “beat up” and was unsure if, or when Gage would return.
He is very beaten up and he’s — 20 years of doing this will leave you beat up and… it will make it difficult for you to continue doing this so, you know, I don’t know when he’ll wrestle again.
In April 2021 Gage had returned from a serious calf injury that needed surgery which kept him on the shelf for nearly 9 months.
