Last night Game Changer Wrestling held their “The People vs GCW” event as part of Starrcast weekend. Three championships were on the line at the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee.

The night opened up with the first of three championship matches as the GCW Extreme Championship was on the line in a scramble match. The competitors are already in the ring as the show’s stream on FiteTV starts.

The six man scramble involved independent wrestling veteran Grim Reefer, former AEW star Marko Stunt, fan favorite Cole Radrick, “The Iron Demon” Shane Mercer, Axton Ray and GCW Extreme Champion AJ Gray.

The ending came when Marko Stunt, now known as “The Little Show” attempted a chokeslam on Cole Radrick. Radrick did not allow this to happen and Stunt ate a pedigree for his efforts. Radrick got the three count as the crowd was shocked but also pleased to have a new champion.

The previous champion AJ Gray had held the title since successfully defeating PCO on January 15th in Illinois.

The second title change of the night saw the team of Los Mazisos, Ciclope and Miedo Extremo, become the two time GCW Tag Team Champions. The three way tag team match which involved Second Gear Crew members Mance Warner and Matthew Justice, and GCW Tag Team Champions BUSSY (Allie Katch and EFFY) saw a whole bunch of madness including chairs, doors, light tubes and even a knife.

BUSSY’s 111 day reign came to an end after Miedo Extremo hit a picture perfect 450 splash on EFFY.

In Los Mazisos previous GCW Tag Team Championship reign, the duo held the titles for over 3 years as they were held captive in Mexico due to Covid and visa issues. Since losing the championships in July of 2021, there have been five different sets of tag champs including The Briscoes and Second Gear Crew.

Of all the champions since then Allie Katch and EFFY has had the lengthiest run. In a tweet from the former champion Allie Katch, she states “they belong with BUSSY. We will get them back.” Could there be a rematch down the line?

The third championship match of the night and main event saw Blake Christian challenge for the GCW World Championship against AEW star Jon Moxley. Despite the effort, Christian fell short thus continuing the championship reign for Moxley. Since winning the championship last September, Mox has defeated the likes of Nick Gage, Homicide, AJ Gray and Tony Deppen.

You can watch the VOD of this event anytime on FiteTV.
